JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

Position: Accounts Executive
Department: Accounts & Finance
Industry: Real Estate
Location: Coimbatore
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹20,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting activities in our real estate organization. The candidate should have practical knowledge of Tally Prime/Tally ERP, MS Excel, basic GST and TDS, and be capable of maintaining accurate financial records.

The role will involve handling sales and purchase entries, receipts, payments, customer and vendor ledgers, bank reconciliation, expenses, billing, and real-estate project-related accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally Prime/Tally ERP.
Record sales, purchase, receipt, payment, journal and contra entries accurately.
Maintain customer, vendor, contractor and project-wise ledgers.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other accounting documents.
Record and monitor property booking and customer payment transactions.
Maintain records of customer advances, outstanding payments and collections.
Verify bills, invoices and supporting documents before entering transactions.
Maintain petty cash and daily cash transactions.
Perform Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS) and identify discrepancies.
Assist in preparing monthly accounting reports and MIS reports.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounts-related records.
Assist in GST, TDS and other statutory compliance activities.
Coordinate with the Sales, Projects, Purchase and Admin teams regarding accounting-related requirements.
Follow up on pending payments and outstanding receivables.
Assist senior accounts staff during audits and month-end/year-end closing.
Ensure all accounting entries are accurate, updated and properly supported by documents.

Tally Knowledge – Mandatory

The candidate should have practical knowledge of:

Tally Prime / Tally ERP
Ledger creation and maintenance
Sales & Purchase entries
Receipt & Payment entries
Journal & Contra entries
Customer and Vendor ledger management
Outstanding reports
Bank reconciliation
GST-related accounting entries
TDS-related entries
Expense and petty cash entries
Basic financial reports

Real Estate Accounting Knowledge – Preferred

Candidates with knowledge of the following will be preferred:

Property booking and customer payment accounting
Advance receipts from customers
Project-wise expense tracking
Land purchase and development-related expenses
Contractor and vendor payments
Customer outstanding and collection tracking
Registration and documentation-related expenses
Project-wise accounting and reporting

Eligibility

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / BBA – Finance / equivalent qualification.
Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Freshers with strong practical knowledge of Tally and accounting fundamentals may also be considered.
Previous experience in the Real Estate industry will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of MS Excel
Basic understanding of GST and TDS
Good accounting and numerical skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and meet deadlines

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy and timely completion of Tally entries
Timely reconciliation of bank and ledger accounts
Accuracy of customer and vendor outstanding reports
Timely processing of invoices, receipts and payments
Proper maintenance of accounting documents
Timely submission of required accounting reports
Reduction of accounting errors and discrepancies
Timely support for GST/TDS and audit requirements

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
