We are looking for a highly responsible and result-oriented leader who can independently manage and grow our complete training and placement operations.
Role Overview
The Head of Training Operations & Business Growth will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of EDWARTENS India. This is a senior leadership role requiring complete ownership of admissions, training coordination, placements, marketing strategy, team management, revenue targets, and operational performance.
The selected candidate must be capable of independently managing the organisation, solving operational challenges, leading the team, and ensuring that business targets are consistently achieved.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness and Operations Management
- Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the EDWARTENS India training centre.
- Take full ownership of admissions, training delivery, placements, marketing, administration, and student support.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve admissions, revenue, placement performance, and overall business growth.
- Ensure smooth coordination between admissions, trainers, placement coordinators, marketing staff, and administrative teams.
- Identify operational challenges and take timely decisions without depending on continuous supervision.
- Establish efficient systems, processes, reporting structures, and operational standards.
Admissions and Revenue Management
- Lead the admissions team and ensure monthly enrolment and revenue targets are achieved.
- Monitor enquiries, counselling activities, follow-ups, conversions, and fee collections.
- Improve the admissions process and student conversion rate.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly admission performance.
- Support the team in handling difficult enquiries, objections, and candidate concerns.
- Develop incentive plans and performance strategies for the admissions team.
Placement Management
- Manage the placement team and ensure candidates receive suitable interview and employment opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with recruiters, employers, staffing agencies, and industry partners.
- Monitor placement KPIs, interview attendance, candidate preparation, employer feedback, and placement success rates.
- Ensure candidates are professionally prepared for interviews, workplace expectations, and technical assessments.
- Resolve placement-related issues involving candidates, recruiters, or internal team members.
Marketing and Growth Strategy
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to generate high-quality leads.
- Coordinate digital marketing, social media campaigns, events, college partnerships, referral programmes, and local marketing activities.
- Work closely with the marketing team to improve brand visibility and lead generation.
- Analyse campaign performance, lead quality, conversion cost, and return on investment.
- Identify new markets, partnerships, courses, and revenue opportunities.
Team Leadership and Performance Management
- Manage all team members across admissions, placements, marketing, training, and administration.
- Define clear KPIs and KRAs for every employee.
- Monitor team performance through daily, weekly, and monthly reviews.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance discussions, and corrective action plans.
- Motivate employees and create a highly accountable, target-driven work culture.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members when required.
- Address underperformance, internal conflicts, discipline issues, and operational concerns professionally.
Training Quality and Student Experience
- Coordinate with trainers to ensure training programmes are delivered according to the planned curriculum and schedule.
- Monitor trainer performance, student attendance, feedback, technical progress, and course completion.
- Ensure students receive proper academic support, project exposure, career guidance, and placement preparation.
- Maintain high standards of student satisfaction and programme quality.
- Handle escalated student concerns and resolve issues effectively.
Reporting and Target Achievement
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Track admissions, collections, expenses, placements, lead generation, conversions, attendance, and employee productivity.
- Ensure all departments achieve their assigned targets.
- Take corrective action immediately when performance is below expectations.
- Maintain accurate operational records and management reports.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in training, education, edtech, skill development, admissions, operations, sales, placement, or business management.
- Previous experience managing a training institute, educational organisation, placement company, or similar business is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in managing teams, targets, KPIs, KRAs, admissions, sales, and operations.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to take complete ownership of the business operations.
- Capable of working under pressure and handling difficult situations professionally.
- Strong communication, negotiation, counselling, and presentation skills.
- Must be highly organised, accountable, disciplined, and result-oriented.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy, lead conversion, customer management, and revenue generation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, reporting tools, and performance tracking.
- Knowledge of technical training, industrial automation, PLC, SCADA, robotics, engineering education, or placement operations will be an advantage.
