The Digital S/W Engineer Sr Mgr accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). This role integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area, contributing to standards around which others will operate. It requires an in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Basic commercial awareness is needed. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. The position has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness, and delivery of end results of an area, and may include planning, budgeting, and policy formulation. It involves short-term planning and resource planning, with full management responsibility for a team, including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and budget approval.
This senior leadership role demands a hands-on full-stack developer and people manager with expertise in microservices and web development. The ideal candidate will drive technical excellence using AI tools, foster a test-first culture with robust BDD automation, lead continuous process improvements across the SDLC, and apply strong architectural, security, and resiliency design patterns. They must possess excellent problem-solving, performance optimization, defensive coding, and troubleshooting skills, while demonstrating leadership to influence stakeholders, manage teams effectively, and build a positive, efficient culture focused on delivering client outcomes.

- Lead as a full-stack developer specializing in microservices and web development, utilizing skills in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and other supporting technologies to design, build, and maintain scalable applications.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using GitHub Enterprise (GHE) Copilot and similar AI tools to enhance efficiency in development, testing, and related activities.
- Foster a test-first mindset within the team, with strong working experience in BDD test automation for APIs, UI, and end-to-end functional testing to ensure quality and reliability.
- Be proactive and eager to learn new technologies and tools; as a leader, drive continuous process improvement across all phases of the product and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving, performance improvement, defensive coding, and troubleshooting skills to address complex technical challenges.
- Apply excellent knowledge of architectural, security, and resiliency design patterns to ensure robust, secure, and scalable system designs.
- Leverage strong leadership skills to influence partners and stakeholders, while demonstrating people management expertise in establishing a positive team culture, driving efficiencies, and delivering outstanding client outcomes.
- 8-15 years of relevant experience in an Apps Development role or senior level experience in an Enterprise Architecture role with subject matter expert in one or more areas.
- Lead resources and serve as a functional SME across the company through advanced knowledge of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, networking, use of knowledge and experience to lead, architect, and drive broader adoption forward.
- Demonstrate knowledge on automating code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing in the CI/CD.
- Strong full-stack development background with microservices and web technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and supporting skills.
- Proven proficiency with AI-assisted tools like GHE Copilot for development and testing.
- Extensive experience with BDD test automation frameworks and a test-first development approach for API, UI, and E2E testing.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving process improvements across the SDLC, with a proactive approach to adopting new technologies.
- Advanced skills in problem-solving, performance tuning, defensive coding, troubleshooting, and applying architectural, security, and resiliency patterns.
- Excellent leadership and people management capabilities, with experience influencing stakeholders and cultivating high-performing teams.
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.
