Established in 2011 and operating at scale since 2019, TWF works across key areas including education, health, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), women’s health and hygiene, poverty alleviation, and climate resilience. Driven by the belief that lasting change begins at the grassroots, we collaborate with communities, governments, corporates, and development partners to create sustainable solutions that improve lives and strengthen local ecosystems.

Role Overview

The WE Foundation is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Writer (Digital) is responsible for creating, editing, and managing engaging, high-quality digital content that strengthens the organisation's online presence, promotes its programmes and initiatives, and supports brand awareness and stakeholder engagement. The role involves developing content for websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, blogs, newsletters, digital marketing materials, and multimedia channels while ensuring consistency with the organisation's brand voice, communication objectives, and strategic goals. The Content Writer collaborates closely with the communications, design, programme, and fundraising teams to produce compelling, audience-focused content that drives engagement, increases visibility, and supports organisational growth. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with excellent writing, editing, and digital communication skills, combined with a strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and social media best practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Write engaging content for blogs, websites & social media platforms

· Create SEO-friendly digital content

· Develop captions, newsletters & promotional copy

· Proofread & edit content for accuracy & consistency

· Work closely with programme teams, designers, videographers, and subject matter experts to develop impactful digital content.

· Develop content for digital advocacy, awareness, fundraising, recruitment, and event promotion campaigns.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, Digital Media, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field.

· 2–3 years of experience in digital content writing, copywriting, content marketing, or digital communications, preferably in the non-profit, development, CSR, healthcare, education, or social impact sector.

Required Skills

· Excellent content writing, copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of English.

· Ability to create engaging, audience-centric content for websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and other digital platforms.

· Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex information into clear, compelling, and impactful content.

· Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, on-page optimisation, and content performance strategies.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and collaborative project management tools.

· Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress or similar publishing platforms.
