Job Description – Purchase / Procurement Manager

Position: Purchase / Procurement Manager
Experience: 10+ Years
Industry: Real Estate / Construction
Location: Ahmedabad

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase / Procurement Manager with 10+ years of experience, preferably from building construction / real estate projects, to manage the complete P2P (Purchase-to-Pay) cycle. The candidate will be responsible for procurement planning, vendor development, negotiations, purchase orders, material follow-ups, billing, and coordination with site, stores, and accounts teams.

Key Responsibilities

Handle the complete P2P (Purchase-to-Pay) cycle from Purchase Requisition (PR) to vendor payment.
Receive and review Material Purchase Requisitions (PRs) from project sites through email and ERP.
Review PRs with the AVP and process them for further procurement.
Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for construction and project requirements.
Send enquiries/RFQs to vendors and obtain competitive quotations.
Conduct price negotiations with vendors to achieve cost-effective procurement.
Prepare quotation comparison statements and obtain approval from the AVP.
Create and update vendor details in the ERP Vendor Master.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and PO amendments as required.
Follow up with vendors for timely material dispatch and bill submission.
Coordinate with Site In-charge and Store In-charge for material receipt at project sites.
Verify GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes) and site stock registers.
Process vendor purchase bills and submit approved original bills to the Accounts Department.
Maintain scanned copies and records of vendor bills and supporting documents.
Coordinate with Accounts for vendor payment follow-ups.
Prepare vendor outstanding payment statements for CMD approval and ensure timely communication regarding pending payments.
Maintain Purchase Order, Bill Processing, Payment, and Procurement Registers.
Prepare monthly site purchase expense reports/registers.
Prepare Service Orders for transportation and other project-related services.
Create and maintain new item codes and item groups in the ERP system.
Conduct site visits and vendor/store/showroom visits as and when required.
Attend relevant real estate, construction, procurement seminars and exhibitions to identify new vendors and market opportunities.
Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and timely procurement to support uninterrupted project execution.

Required Experience & Skills

10+ years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
Strong experience in building construction / real estate projects is mandatory/preferred.
Hands-on experience in the complete P2P procurement cycle.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, project procurement, and vendor management.
Excellent vendor development, negotiation, and cost-control skills.
Experience coordinating with project sites, stores, accounts, and senior management.
Good understanding of GRN, Purchase Orders, Purchase Bills, Vendor Payments, and Stock Registers.
Experience working on ERP systems and maintaining procurement records.
Strong analytical, coordination, follow-up, and documentation skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline. Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, Civil Engineering, or related fields will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate: Candidates with strong procurement experience in building construction / real estate projects and familiarity with Ahmedabad-based vendors and markets will be preferred.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
