Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Principal, Principal HRIS Technical Consultant to lead the administration, optimization, support, and continuous enhancement of our global HR technology ecosystem. This role will serve as a strategic partner to HR, Talent, Compensation, Payroll, and IT teams, ensuring Workday and related HR systems deliver scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions that enhance employee experience and business outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Workday Core HCM, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, HR business processes, reporting, workflow automation, system configuration, and production support. This role requires a combination of functional consulting, technical problem-solving, stakeholder management, analytics, and project leadership within a global HR environment. The Principal, Talent Systems & Operations will report to the Senior Manager, HRBP & Talent Operations.

Responsibilities:
Workday Administration & Configuration
- Lead administration, configuration, and optimization of Workday Core HCM and Talent applications.
- Configure and maintain business processes, supervisory organizations, job profiles, worker data, security roles, and organizational structures.
- Manage HR system workflows, functionality, configurations, and automation to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Act as the primary Workday subject matter expert and provide guidance on system capabilities and best practices.
- Ensure HR systems are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business requirements.
Talent & Performance Management
- Configure and support talent management processes including goal management, performance reviews, competencies, talent reviews, succession planning, career development, and calibration activities.
- Support annual and mid-year performance cycles and talent review programs.
- Partner with HR stakeholders to improve talent management processes through technology solutions.
- Manage system enhancements related to talent workflows, rating scales, competency frameworks, and development planning. Advanced Compensation
- Support and configure compensation review cycles, merit planning, bonus programs, stock/equity processes, and compensation-related workflows.
- Validate compensation calculations and perform end-to-end testing of compensation solutions.
- Collaborate with Compensation and HR teams to optimize compensation administration processes.
- Provide analytical insights supporting compensation planning and decision-making. Reporting, Analytics & Data Governance
- Own HR reporting, dashboards, metrics, and analytics across the employee lifecycle.
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data visualizations to support business decisions.
- Analyze workforce trends, KPIs, talent metrics, and operational performance indicators.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, security, and compliance across HR systems. • Maintain accurate, clean, and reportable HR data. Production Support & Operations
- Manage day-to-day production support activities and ensure resolution of incidents within established SLA timelines.
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and partner with vendors and technical teams for resolution.
- Track, prioritize, and manage support tickets, enhancement requests, and system improvements.
• Lead issue management, escalation handling, and continuous operational support activities. • Support employee and manager self-service capabilities and process automation initiatives. • Prepare and maintain materials, guides, and process documentation Testing, Releases & Change Management
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical system solutions.
- Develop functional specifications, test plans, and testing scenarios.
- Execute SIT, UAT, regression testing, and release validation activities.
- Evaluate Workday releases and implement required enhancements and updates.
- Support system implementations, migrations, acquisitions, and transformation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to change control and system governance frameworks.
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Collaborate with HR, Talent Management, Compensation, Payroll, Finance, Security, and IT teams.
- Facilitate requirement gathering workshops and provide solution recommendations.
- Lead cross-functional HR technology projects from design through deployment.
- Deliver end-user training, knowledge sharing sessions, user guides, and process documentation.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in HR Technology, HRIS, Workday Consulting, or Talent Systems administration.
- 4+ years of hands-on Workday experience supporting: Core HCM Talent & Performance Advanced Compensation
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience with system configuration, business process management, security, reporting, and production support.
- Experience managing HR technology projects, testing, and change management initiatives.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a global and matrixed environment.
