Job Summary
KOTT SOFTWARE, a well-established 100% EOU,ISO 9001:2015 company,is seeking Software Testing professionals for Enterprise Web application Testing in an Agile product development environment.
At least 1+ years of Software Testing experience in a Web application development environment. The job requires interacting with the software application development team, clients&and involvement in test design, developing test cases, test plans &and execution of Enterprise Solutions.
Software Test Engineers / Software Testers
Job Responsibilities:
· Software manual Testing and related activities in a web-based application environment.
· Analyze user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and testing scope.
· Developing and implementing test plans, test strategy, test cases, and test reports for various testing,like, regression, functional & performance testing.
· Execute testing for web applications and backend services.
· Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
· Validate API requests and responses, including positive, negative, boundary, and error scenarios.
· Perform basic database/data validation using SQL queries.
· Test third-party and external integrations and validate end-to-end data flow.
· Validate data across UI, APIs, database, logs, and downstream systems where applicable.
· Identify, log, track, and verify defects using Azure DevOps or other defect-tracking tools.
· To work closely in an Agile development team environment and meet release plan schedules and patch management
· Recording and tracking defects through a Web-based project management tool
· Setting up and following procedures for bug/issues/defects
· Responsible for testing all software products/projects.
· May need to work in flexible time to attend US/Europe client meetings
Technical / Functional: (Must Have skills)
· Should have at MINIMUM 1+ years’ experience in developing AND executing test cases in a client-driven environment.
· Prior experience in Testing Web-based applications / Enterprise level applications and solutionsis a plus
· Experience in Manual Testing. Writing Test cases, Identifying Test scenarios, creating test plans, test strategy, test cases, and execution
· Sound knowledge of STLC, software testing methodologies and procedures
· Sound understanding and developing/executing test cases in an application development environment.
· Knowledge of Quality Assurance/testinglife cycle Process is a plus
· Experience in using any bug-tracking tool.
· Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans, Boards, or similar test/defect management tools.
· Experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
· Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
Preferred skills
· Sound knowledge of software testing methodologies and procedures
· Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
· Experience with API automationBasic SQL concepts and query writing
· Hands-on skills in Selenium / JMeter / UFT automation tools in a live environment is a plus
· Experience with test automation tools such aSelenium/Playwright/Cypress
· Knowledge of JSON/XML payload validation and data mapping.
· Good communication & interpersonal skills
· Ability to think ‘OUT OF THE BOX’
Qualification:B.E./B.Tech./M.C.A./BCA/BSc. with Diploma in software testing or quality assurance.
