Mehta Tubes Limited is an established copper and copper-alloy tube manufacturer operating under the MEXFLOW® brand. Our operations — finance, procurement, sales, inventory, stores, production and dispatch — run on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across the group.
About the Role
You will own Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for the group — the single ERP that runs finance, procurement, sales, inventory, stores, production and dispatch. This is a functional ERP ownership role: you configure and administer Business Central, gather requirements from departments, deliver enhancements, manage the implementation partner and developers, protect data integrity and security, and make the ERP genuinely useful to the business. It is not a hardware, network or helpdesk role — your world is Business Central, its modules, its data and the business processes it runs.
What This Role Is (and Is Not)
This role IS about:
Dynamics 365 Business Central — configuration, modules, master data, permissions, workflows, reports.
Business processes — finance, purchase, sales, inventory, manufacturing — modelled in BC.
Enhancements & projects — requirements, AL extensions (via developers), integrations, upgrades, UAT, go-live.
Power BI, data accuracy, ERP security and access control (segregation of duties).
This role is NOT about (please do not apply if this is your background only):
Network / firewall / router / switch administration.
Server, hardware, printer or desktop/laptop support.
General IT helpdesk, CCTV, or telephony.
Pure software development with no ERP/Business Central functional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and administer the Dynamics 365 Business Central environment group-wide — availability, performance, security and reliability.
- Manage configuration, modules, users, roles, permissions, master data and enhancements in BC.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Production and Sales to analyse processes, gather requirements and deliver ERP solutions and improvements.
- Lead implementations, roll-outs, upgrades, integrations, testing/UAT and go-lives across units.
- Direct implementation partners and AL developers on extensions, customisations and APIs — you set scope and quality (you need not be a full-time AL coder).
- Manage integrations with Power BI, Microsoft 365, banking, payroll and third-party systems.
- Enforce user access, segregation of duties, data integrity, backup and recovery within BC.
- Run incident, service-request and change management for the ERP with defined response times.
- Manage Microsoft partner/vendor contracts, deliverables, performance and cost.
- Lead a small ERP support team and build key-user capability across departments.
- Maintain SOPs, technical documentation and audit records; support IT/financial audits.
- Report to management on ERP performance, projects, risks and improvements.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting/Commerce or a related field. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV certifications are a strong advantage.
Experience — Mandatory
- 8–10 years total ERP experience.
- 5+ years hands-on on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV — configuration, administration, support and upgrades.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into BC solutions.
- Manufacturing / distribution ERP experience strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Deep functional command of Business Central / NAV — Finance, Procurement, Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain.
- BC implementation, administration, upgrades and integrations.
- Understanding of AL extensions, APIs and web services (enough to direct developers).
- Power BI, Microsoft 365, SQL/database concepts, data migration.
- ERP security, access control, segregation of duties and change management.
- Project, vendor, stakeholder and small-team management.
ERP / Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Requirement level: Functional ownership — Mandatory
Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV is the core, non-negotiable requirement for this role. Candidates whose experience is only in networking, hardware, general IT support, or non-ERP software development are not a fit.
