Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AGM – Accounts to lead and manage the Finance & Accounts function, with a primary focus on Import and Export-related accounting and financial operations.

The role will be responsible for managing EXIM accounting, export and import documentation, banking operations, foreign currency transactions, GST and statutory compliance, working capital, financial reporting, audits, and coordination with banks, customs, auditors, consultants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the overall Finance & Accounts operations, with a strong focus on Import and Export transactions.
Handle Import and Export accounting, documentation, and financial transactions.
Review and verify export invoices, import invoices, purchase invoices, sales invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
Manage foreign currency transactions, forex reconciliation, and exchange rate adjustments.
Monitor export receivables, import payables, LC, bank guarantees, and trade finance transactions.
Coordinate with banks for export/import documentation, remittances, LC, foreign currency transactions, and related banking activities.
Ensure proper accounting of customs duty, IGST, freight, clearing charges, and other import-related expenses.
Coordinate with Customs, CHA, Freight Forwarders, Banks, DGFT, GST authorities, auditors, and consultants.
Monitor shipping bills, bills of entry, export proceeds, import payments, and bank realisation.
Ensure compliance with GST requirements related to exports, imports, LUT, refunds, and input tax credit.
Monitor export incentives, refunds, duty benefits, and applicable government schemes.
Prepare and review MIS reports, cash-flow statements, receivables, payables, and financial reports.
Manage working capital, cash flow, and fund requirements.
Ensure timely bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
Coordinate with Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, Tax Consultants, and other professionals.
Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and statutory requirements.
Strengthen internal controls and improve processes related to EXIM and Finance operations.
Lead and supervise the Accounts & Finance team.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management for cost control, profitability, and business decisions.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Import & Export Accounts and Finance.
Good understanding of EXIM procedures and documentation.
Strong knowledge of GST and export-related compliance.
Experience in foreign currency transactions and forex reconciliation.
Knowledge of LC, Bank Guarantees, Export Bills, Import Bills, and trade finance.
Experience coordinating with Banks, Customs, CHA, DGFT, Auditors, and Tax Consultants.
Strong knowledge of MIS, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow management.
Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Accounting Software.

Qualification

CA / CMA / M.Com / MBA – Finance preferred.

Experience

10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in an Import & Export, Manufacturing, or Trading organization.

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
