Your role :
As an SAP EHS Consultant, you will be responsible for managing change requests and projects across core EHS processes. You will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of EHS solutions, from initial scoping and requirement gathering through to configuration, testing, and post-go-live support.
Your responsibilities span the full project lifecycle, including setting up and integrating EHS systems with SAP and non-SAP landscapes, leading requirement workshops with business stakeholders, configuring and testing solutions, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external vendors, and designing fit-for-purpose solutions tailored to business-specific needs. You will work across SAP environments ranging from ECC 4.6 to the latest S/4HANA.
Lead Business Workshops and FIT/GAP Analysis
Facilitate structured business workshops to elicit, document, and validate requirements from key stakeholders across EHS process areas. Conduct FIT/GAP analysis to assess how standard SAP EHS functionality aligns with business requirements, and propose appropriate configuration or development solutions to close identified gaps.
Customizing, Configuration, and Functional Specifications
Perform end-to-end SAP EHS customizing and configuration across relevant process areas. Prepare detailed functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, and forms, ensuring that technical teams have clear, unambiguous documentation to implement solutions accurately and efficiently.
WRICEF Development Collaboration
Work closely with ABAP and technical teams to define, review, and validate WRICEF objects — including Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms. Ensure that all developments are aligned with functional requirements, tested thoroughly, and delivered to the agreed quality standard.
Data Migration and Loading Strategy
Design and own the data migration and loading strategy for EHS data objects, including substances, phrases, specification trees, dangerous goods classifications, and label master data. Define data mapping, cleansing rules, validation criteria, and cutover sequencing to ensure accurate and complete migration of EHS data into the target system.
Testing Across All Phases
Plan, coordinate, and actively participate in all phases of testing, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Prepare test scripts, document test results, manage defect tracking, and work with business users and technical teams to ensure timely resolution of issues prior to go-live.
Cross-Module Integration Support
Support and manage EHS integration with SAP modules such as MM, PP, QM, SD, and EWM, as well as external systems including regulatory content providers, third-party label management platforms, and document management systems. Ensure that integration points are well defined, tested, and operationally stable.
Cutover, Go-Live, and Hypercare
Actively contribute to cutover planning and execution, including the preparation of cutover checklists, sequencing of migration activities, and coordination with Basis, technical, and business teams. Provide hands-on support during the go-live period and hypercare phase, ensuring rapid resolution of issues and a stable transition to business-as-usual operations.
Who you are:
-
2–3 years of hands-on experience in SAP EHS, with demonstrable delivery experience across at least one of the core EHS process areas
-
Strong understanding of the SAP EHS data model, including substances, value assignment instances, specification trees, phrase structures, and the relationships between EHS objects; combined with a solid grasp of data migration strategies, tools, and best practices applicable to EHS implementations
-
Functional knowledge across SAP EHS process areas, including:
-
Product Safety
-
Dangerous Goods Management (DG)
-
Substance Volume Tracking (SVT)
-
Hazardous Substance Management (HSM)
-
Global Label Management (GLM)
-
Good understanding of WWI layout design, and EHS Regulatory Content (ERC) updates.
-
Basic understanding of cross-functional module integration with EHS
-
Familiarity with third-party labelling software such as NiceLabel and Loftware is a strong advantage, particularly in the context of GLM integration and print server architecture
-
Basic understanding of ABAP debugging for issue investigation and functional validation.
-
Programming skills in Python or JavaScript are an added advantage.
