ABOUT THE ROLE
We are building AI-powered learning products that help students understand Mathematics and Science more deeply.
Over the past year, our learning tools have been piloted in real classrooms across Asia. These pilots showed a 45% improvement in learning outcomes compared with traditional methods. We are now preparing to bring these tools to millions of students and thousands of classrooms.
We are looking for an AI Learning Experience Designer who can combine learning science, curriculum design, STEM expertise, and emerging AI technologies to create effective learning experiences for K-12 students and teachers.
This is a hands-on product role. You will design learning journeys, experiment with generative AI, build prototypes, create instructional content, and work with product and engineering teams to turn promising ideas into scalable features.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
AI and Product Development
- Design AI-powered learning experiences for K-12 students and teachers.
- Build rapid prototypes using generative AI, large language models, multimodal AI, and emerging tools.
- Evaluate AI models and identify practical ways to use them in educational workflows.
- Work with engineers and product managers to turn prototypes into scalable product features.
- Test new ideas, learn from results, and improve them quickly.
Learning Experience Design
- Design engaging Mathematics and Science learning experiences aligned with curriculum standards.
- Create instructional content, assessments, classroom activities, and teacher-support materials.
- Build structured learning journeys that progressively strengthen conceptual understanding.
- Simplify complex Mathematics and Science concepts without compromising accuracy.
- Apply learning science and instructional design principles to improve engagement and outcomes.
Curriculum and Content Strategy
- Plan curriculum structures across grades and subjects.
- Define the content architecture for digital learning products.
- Design learning pathways that support both product goals and classroom implementation.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to maintain academic and pedagogical quality.
Research and Collaboration
- Partner with engineers, designers, AI researchers, instructional designers, and product managers.
- Participate in product ideation and prototyping workshops.
- Validate concepts using feedback from teachers and classrooms.
- Take ownership of projects from initial concept through testing and deployment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You should have:
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, educational content, learning product design, or a closely related field.
- A strong understanding of K-12 education and how students learn.
- Strong foundations in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Education, or another relevant discipline.
- The ability to translate complex concepts into clear and engaging learning experiences.
- Excellent written communication and content-structuring skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving ability.
- The ability to collaborate across curriculum, design, product, and engineering teams.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-moving product environment.
A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Education, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
AI AND TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE
Prior experience with generative AI is valuable, but we do not expect candidates to know every tool listed below.
Experience with one or more of the following would be an advantage:
- ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini
- Prompt design and evaluation
- Large language models and AI-assisted workflows
- Multimodal AI or AI agents
- Cursor or GitHub Copilot
- Figma, Miro, or similar prototyping tools
- Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or React
- AI APIs, data analysis, or educational technology prototyping
Knowledge of Bloom's Taxonomy, learning sciences, assessment design, or other instructional design frameworks is also beneficial.
