POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Quantitative Developer to take a pivotal role in the design, development, and evolution of our next-generation CEX and DEX trading platform.
The position sits at the intersection of quantitative trading, high-performance computing, distributed systems, and blockchain infrastructure. The successful candidate will own critical components of the trading technology stack and work closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and low-latency trading solutions.
This is a high-impact engineering role for an individual who combines strong software engineering expertise with a deep understanding of digital-asset markets, market microstructure, exchange connectivity, and real-time trading systems.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Trading Systems & Quantitative Infrastructure:
- Architect, develop, and optimize low-latency trading systems using modern C++ and Python.
- Design highly reliable infrastructure supporting market data, order management, execution, market making, arbitrage, risk management, liquidation, and systematic trading.
- Develop scalable and resilient systems capable of operating reliably under high-throughput, real-time market conditions.
- Translate quantitative concepts and trading requirements into robust, production-grade technology.
2. Market Data & Exchange Connectivity:
- Design and maintain real-time market-data and order-book infrastructure across CEX and DEX venues.
- Ensure market-state accuracy and consistency during high message volumes, sequence gaps, connectivity disruptions, and other adverse conditions.
- Develop and maintain exchange connectivity using WebSocket, REST, and FIX.
- Implement robust mechanisms for authentication, reconnection, rate-limit management, order lifecycle management, and execution reporting.
3. Strategy Engineering & Execution:
- Partner with quantitative researchers and traders to transition strategies from research and backtesting into production.
- Support the development and deployment of: Market-making strategies, Arbitrage strategies, Execution strategies, Systematic trading strategies
- Build the infrastructure required for simulation, testing, live deployment, monitoring, and continuous strategy optimization.
- Analyze execution performance and identify opportunities to improve latency, liquidity, fill quality, and overall trading efficiency.
4. Risk & Trading Controls:
- Design and implement real-time risk, position, margin, and liquidation systems.
- Ensure trading infrastructure remains resilient and appropriately controlled under both normal and extreme market conditions.
- Build reliable mechanisms for exposure monitoring, risk controls, failure handling, and recovery.
5. Blockchain & On-Chain Trading:
- Develop infrastructure supporting on-chain trading and DEX execution.
- Integrate blockchain RPCs, DEX protocols, smart contracts, and transaction-execution workflows.
- Work with mempool data, gas management, transaction execution, and on-chain settlement.
- Contribute to the development of reliable and scalable blockchain connectivity and execution infrastructure.
6. Performance, Reliability & Production Engineering:
- Continuously profile and optimize systems for latency, throughput, scalability, availability, and execution quality.
- Identify performance bottlenecks across network, application, exchange, and blockchain layers.
- Establish production-grade monitoring, observability, failover, recovery, and incident-response capabilities.
- Contribute to systems designed for continuous 24/7 trading operations.
7. Technical Leadership:
- Lead technical design and architecture discussions for critical trading systems.
- Conduct code reviews and establish engineering standards for the trading technology function.
- Mentor quantitative developers and promote strong engineering practices.
- Make data-driven technical decisions with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and risk.
- REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Programming & Systems:
- 6+ years of professional experience building production-grade quantitative, trading, or low-latency systems.
- Advanced proficiency in C++17/20 and Python.
- Strong understanding of: o Concurrency, o Multithreading, o Lock-free programming, o Memory management, o Performance optimization
- Strong Linux and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with profiling, benchmarking, performance tuning, and latency optimization.
- Experience with Rust or Go is an advantage.
Trading Technology:
- Strong practical experience with exchange APIs and connectivity protocols, including WebSocket, REST, and FIX.
- Deep understanding of order-book systems, market data, order management, and execution infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of digital-asset market mechanics, including: o Spot, o Perpetuals, o Options, o Funding, o Liquidations, o Market making, o Arbitrage, o Trading fees
Blockchain & DeFi:
- Strong understanding of CEX and DEX architectures.
- Practical knowledge of: o Blockchain RPCs, o AMMs, o Smart contracts, o On-chain transaction flows, o On-chain settlement
- Experience working with blockchain-based trading infrastructure is highly desirable.
Data & Infrastructure:
- Experience working with large-scale market and time-series data.
- Exposure to technologies such as ClickHouse, kdb+/q, or TimescaleDB.
- Strong experience with: o Linux, o Docker, o Kubernetes, o CI/CD, o Distributed systems, o Production observability
Quantitative Foundations:
- Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and stochastic modeling.
- Ability to apply quantitative reasoning to trading, execution, risk, and performance-related problems.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
