1. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase professional to manage end-to-end procurement activities, vendor development, commercial negotiations, material planning, purchase orders, logistics coordination and dispatch operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of industrial/raw material purchasing, vendor management, landed-cost analysis, inventory control and purchase documentation.

2. Key Responsibilities

· Manage the complete purchase cycle from material indent to PO release and delivery.

· Source raw materials, consumables, packing materials and other required items.

· Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors and prepare comparative statements.

· Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, payment terms, freight, MOQ and past performance.

· Prepare and release POs with correct quantity, price, GST/HSN, delivery schedule, payment terms and freight.

· Monitor open POs and ensure timely delivery of materials.

· Identify, evaluate and develop new vendors for critical and regular materials.

· Develop alternate/second sources for critical materials and maintain strong supplier relationships.

· Negotiate material prices, payment terms, freight, MOQ and delivery schedules.

· Focus on total landed cost and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

· Coordinate with Production, Stores and Projects for material requirements and replenishment.

· Monitor stock levels, reorder levels and safety stock for critical materials.

· Review slow-moving/critical materials and open purchase orders.

· Coordinate dispatches as per customer/site delivery requirements and arrange vehicles through transporters.

· Verify freight bills against LR, weight, agreed freight rate and delivery details.

· Ensure proper PO, invoice, delivery challan, e-way bill, LR, weighbridge slip, test certificate/COA and packing documentation.

· Coordinate with Accounts for invoice processing and payment-related issues.

· Maintain daily/weekly Purchase & Open PO Tracker and monthly purchase MIS.

· Track purchase price trends, vendor performance and cost-saving initiatives.

· Use MS Excel/ERP/Tally for purchase tracking, MIS and documentation.

· Supervise and guide the Dispatch Executive and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

· Take ownership of procurement, vendor, material availability and dispatch-related issues.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong knowledge of Purchase & Procurement processes.

· Excellent vendor development and commercial negotiation skills.

· Experience in industrial/raw material procurement, preferably in manufacturing.

· Strong commercial judgment and landed-cost analysis ability.

· Knowledge of inventory concepts such as Reorder Level, Safety Stock, EOQ and ABC Analysis.

· Knowledge of GRN, PO, e-way bill, LR and purchase documentation.

· Basic understanding of GST/HSN and purchase-related statutory requirements.

· Strong follow-up, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

· Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions.

· Experience with ERP/Tally or other purchase management systems.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent material requirements.

· Team-handling, delegation and decision-making skills.

4. Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in B.Com / BBA / Engineering / Supply Chain / Operations or any relevant discipline.

5. Experience

5–10 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing, refractory, engineering or industrial environment.

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Purchase cost reduction / savings.

· On-time material availability.

· Open PO and overdue PO control.

· Vendor performance and delivery adherence.

· Vendor quality/rejection rate.

· Development of alternate suppliers.

· Inventory availability and stock control.

· Purchase cycle time.

· Freight cost optimization.

· Accuracy of purchase documentation.

· Dispatch and delivery adherence.

· Team productivity and process discipline.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
