Summary:
UST is looking for a We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Product Owner with a strong background in the Legal domain to lead the development and enhancement of legal technology solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as the bridge between legal stakeholders, business teams, and engineering teams, ensuring that product initiatives align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs.
The role requires a combination of legal process knowledge, technical proficiency, product management expertise, and Agile delivery experience.
Key Responsibilities: Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for legal and compliance-related applications.
- Collaborate with legal counsels, compliance teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather and prioritize requirements.
- Translate business and legal requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with development, QA, UX, and architecture teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
- Analyze legal workflows and identify opportunities for digital transformation, automation, and process optimization.
- Support the implementation and integration of legal technology platforms, contract lifecycle management (CLM) solutions, document management systems, and compliance tools. Ensure solutions comply with legal, regulatory, data privacy, and security standards.
- Monitor product performance, user adoption, and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage product releases, feature rollouts, and post-implementation support activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Product Ownership roles.
Strong understanding of Legal Operations, Compliance, Contract Management, eDiscovery, Regulatory Reporting, or Legal Technology solutions.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing product backlogs. Ability to translate complex legal and business requirements into technical solutions. Knowledge of SDLC, APIs, system integrations, cloud-based applications, and enterprise platforms.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms such as Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, Icertis, or similar solutions. Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or industry-specific compliance requirements. Certification as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent. Exposure to AI-enabled legal platforms, document automation, and workflow management tools. Legal and Compliance domain would be good
