Overview
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Architect to define, design, and scale enterprise‑grade automation solutions across web, API, and data platforms. This role provides technical ownership of automation architecture and partners closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to ensure high‑quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technical leader with deep expertise in automation frameworks and CI/CD integration, Cloud environments using AWS, Azure, or GCP, capable of influencing quality practices across large, distributed systems while handling multiple initiatives in a cross‑functional environment.

Responsibilities
Automation Architecture & Strategy

Define and own the automation architecture across web, API, and integration layers.

Design scalable, maintainable, and reusable test automation frameworks aligned with product architecture.

Establish automation standards, patterns, and best practices across teams.

Lead automation strategy for functional, regression, integration, and non-functional testing. E2E Tests

Collaborate on non-functional testing aspects.
- Bring in Automation first mindset

Introduce the usage of AI into Automation Testing capability.
Framework Design & Implementation
-
Design, implement, and evolve automation frameworks using tools such as:
- Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, AccelQ, PyTest, Querysurge etc.

Ensure framework scalability, reliability, and ease of adoption across teams.
-
Drive shift-left testing practices and improve test coverage early in the SDLC.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
-
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Enable parallel execution, environment-based testing, and reporting within pipelines.
-
Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize test execution and pipeline stability.
API & Performance Testing

Define and implement API automation strategies using Postman, ACCELQ, RestAssured, SoapUI, or equivalent.

Provide architectural guidance for performance and load testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.

Ensure performance benchmarks and quality gates are enforced before production releases.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration

Act as a technical mentor and advisor to QA engineers and automation developers.

Review automation code, framework designs, and test strategies.
-
Partner with engineering, product, and architecture teams to align quality goals with business objectives.

Participate in release planning and quality risk assessments.
About you
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
-
10 + years of experience Software Quality Engineering.
-
4+ years in a senior automation, architect, or principal-level QE role
-
Extensive hands-on experience building and scaling automation frameworks
-
Strong experience in Agile/Scrum and CI/CD-driven delivery environments Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
Technical Skills
-
Automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, AccelQ, PyTest
-
Programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent
-
API testing: Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI
-
Knowledge of implementing & leveraging AI in Testing.
-
Performance testing: JMeter, LoadRunner
-
CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
-
Version control: Git
-
Strong understanding of:

Test architecture patterns

Microservices and distributed systems
-
DevOps and shift-left testing practices
-
Experience testing cloud-native applications (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (e.g., AppDynamics)

Experience validating data pipelines or BI reports
-
Experience validating BI reports (Power BI, Tableau).

Strong leadership abilities and a collaborative mindset.

Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to influence quality culture across engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications

QA or testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, CSQE, etc.).

Experience with AI/ML‑based testing tools.

Experience of working on automation for enterprise-based products like SAP, Workday etc

Experience in Human Resource Management applications or projects domain.
