Creative Designer (Print Digital AI Video)

Location: Hybrid / Remote (with regular collaboration)
Start Date: Immediate
Employment: Full-time

UK based RF Community Media, who publish the Asian Standard Newspaper and Asian Sunday & Style Magazine is looking for a talented and forward-thinking Creative Designer to join our growing media team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative all-rounder who enjoys working across print, digital, AI-powered content creation and video. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design, embraces new technology and can produce high-quality work to tight newspaper deadlines.

About the Role

You will play a key role in the production of our weekly newspapers, digital publications and online platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing our weekly newspapers using Adobe InDesign templates.
Dropping in and formatting editorial content to produce publication-ready pages.
Creating engaging layouts while maintaining our established brand identity.
Using AI tools to transform selected newspaper content into interactive digital experiences and short-form video for our e-paper.
Assisting with website design, user experience and ongoing website improvements.
Supporting the team with video editing for social media, digital campaigns and editorial content.
Working closely with our editorial and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.

Typical Weekly Workflow

Thursdays & Fridays

Newspaper page production and design.
Preparing files for print and digital publication.

Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

Website design and development.
AI-assisted content creation.
Video editing and digital creative projects.
Supporting ongoing multimedia campaigns.

Essential Skills

Applicants should demonstrate experience in:

Adobe InDesign (essential).
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.
Website design and front-end development.
HTML, CSS and basic web programming skills.
AI-powered creative tools for design, image generation, workflow automation and video production.
Strong typography, layout and branding skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Can work quickly without compromising quality.
Is proactive and enjoys finding smarter, AI-driven ways of working.
Has excellent attention to detail.
Is comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Has a good command of written and spoken UK English.
Has access to their own professional hardware, software and editing tools required to carry out the role efficiently.
Is available to start as soon as possible.
