Maintenance Officer -Packing

Description

Position Overview ( Scope of the role & Outcomes)

Manage maintenance Up keeping and upgradation of plant and machinery of BIL factory. Support the piloting and stabilization of Technology Initiatives WITHIN the laid down budget and government statutes WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF ensuring continuous operations of the plant at lower costs.

Factory Manager, Sr. Manufacturing Manager, HR Manager, Production Manager, QA Manager, Finance Manager, Engineering Officers , Production Officers, Quality Officer, Engineering Stores, Accounts Officers ,General Stores Officer, Safety Officer

External :Vendors, Contractors

Position Requirement:
Education & Experience
Diploma( 6 to 8 yrsexp) /B.E., with Mechanical/Electrical ( 4 - 6 Yrsexp) in FMCG/ Food processing Industries into Maintenance/Engineering

Job Description
1. Prepare plans for preventive maintenance and spares procurement For Packing Machines, Coordinate Changeovers, Packing Machine cleaning, Spare parts and Changeparts management. Daily CLRI and Abnormality Tracking Develop designs / kaizens for Zero FBC issues and process issues along with Cost saving; Analyse feasibility of technology initiatives and develop machinery along with engineering team ; Monitor Breakdowns, implementation of TBM, CBMS and TPM , in order to ensure efficient operations of plant and machinery and adherence to defined M & R expenditure budget. Upkeep Packing machine utilization and efficiency. Maintaining reordering levels of spares and coordinate procurement after checking the same; indigenize spares along with vendors and maintenance officers; monitor performance and then accept in order to ensure timely availability of appropriate spares. Man Management

2. Scan quotations and justifications for engineering stores expenditures. Raise CER and create appropriation Request on SAP and PR. Forward to purchase, negotiate jointly and shortlist vendor. Check and Certify CER bills and Bills related with M&R Plant & Machinery, Building Contract, Building Stores, Plant and machinery Stores, Food Safety and Misc G.L. Accounts IN ORDER TO ensure timely procurement and payment for stores related items
3. Assess breakdown and allocate support to ensure minimum Packing machine downtime, Monitor Packet rejections within specified limits. Analyse RCA and take CAPA for non repetance of B/D

4. Take regular rounds and review process log books to monitor plant and machinery performance, discuss production problems with officers, Monitor safety aspects inside the factory, ensure efficient and safe functioning of plant and machinery

5. Review maintenance and repair cost , Scrap/ Waste Management -Assess machine condition and availability of spares; take decision on selling; coordinate for disposal

6. "Quality, Safety and wastages

7. Ensures through engg intervention 1) wastages in all forms across company are minimized and are within the set company norms. 2) pkg and packet rejections across factory are reduced below set norms 3) supports cost saving and quality intiatives like B next, Q- Next, TPM, TQM, Kaizen 4) FSMS, FSSA, Legal Metrology requirements are met.5) SOPs as recommended by R&D, Quality through various means like Quality Manual, TQM and Kaizen, Through internal Audits are followed, implemented and maintained. 6) Supports safety of workmen and plant "
