Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee and manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure the production process runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, monitoring production schedules, and improving operational processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of Production Team:
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of production workers to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure work is completed within set timeframes.
Provide ongoing training and development to staff to improve performance and skills.
Production Planning & Coordination:
Ensure production schedules are followed and adjust resources as needed to meet production targets.
Monitor and ensure efficient allocation of materials, equipment, and labor for the production process.
Coordinate with other departments such as Quality Control, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth workflow.
Quality Control & Safety:
Ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and address production issues promptly, escalating to senior management when necessary.
Enforce safety guidelines and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Conduct regular safety audits and train staff on safety protocols.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Track production metrics such as output, downtime, scrap rates, and efficiency, and take corrective actions when necessary.
Prepare daily and weekly production reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies, production standards, and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining product quality.
Implement Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to improve operational efficiency.
Problem-Solving:
Troubleshoot operational issues quickly and effectively to minimize production delays.
Address and resolve conflicts within the team or between departments.

Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Experience:
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience with production processes, safety standards, and quality control.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, production schedules, and work orders.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, reporting, data entry)

Working Conditions:

Shift work may be required based on production needs.
Occasional overtime may be necessary to meet production deadlines.
