Actowiz Solutions is a leading provider of web scraping, data extraction, and market intelligence solutions. We help global enterprises collect, process, and deliver structured data from eCommerce, Quick Commerce, Retail, Travel, Food Delivery, Automotive, Real Estate, and other digital platforms.

We are looking for an experienced QA Team Lead who can lead a team of QA Engineers, ensure high-quality client deliveries, improve QA processes, and collaborate closely with developers and project managers to maintain exceptional data quality across multiple web scraping projects.

Role Overview

As a QA Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day QA activities across multiple web scraping and data extraction projects. You will mentor QA Engineers, establish testing standards, review deliverables, identify process improvements, and ensure that every client delivery meets the required quality benchmarks.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and hands-on experience validating large-scale scraped datasets.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and guide a team of QA Engineers.
Assign QA tasks and monitor daily progress.
Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions and team training.
Review team performance and provide constructive feedback.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new QA team members.

Data Quality Assurance

Validate datasets for:
- Accuracy
- Completeness
- Freshness
- Consistency
- Formatting
- Duplicate records
Review client deliverables before submission.
Ensure adherence to project-specific validation checklists and SOPs.
Verify data against client requirements and acceptance criteria.

Testing & Validation

Prepare detailed test plans and test cases for scraping projects.
Perform functional and regression testing of web scrapers and APIs.
Validate parser outputs after website structure changes.
Identify missing fields, incorrect mappings, duplicate records, and formatting inconsistencies.
Perform sanity checks before production deliveries.

Scraper Validation

Test web scraping applications, crawlers, APIs, and ETL pipelines.
Monitor scraping performance and data quality after deployments.
Validate outputs across multiple websites and data sources.
Coordinate with developers to resolve extraction and parsing issues.

Process Improvement

Improve QA processes, validation methodologies, and checklists.
Identify recurring issues and recommend preventive actions.
Maintain documentation for QA processes and project-specific validations.
Drive continuous improvements in delivery quality and efficiency.

Reporting & Coordination

Coordinate with Project Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Delivery teams.
Track QA progress across multiple projects.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA reports.
Escalate critical quality issues and project risks proactively.
Ensure project deliveries meet defined SLAs and timelines.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading a QA team.
Experience working on web scraping, data extraction, or data validation projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Technical Skills

Must Have

Strong understanding of:
- HTML
- DOM
- XPath
- CSS Selectors
- JSON
- XML
Hands-on experience with:
- SQL
- REST APIs
- Data validation techniques
Experience testing:
- Web Scrapers
- Crawlers
- APIs
- ETL Pipelines
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Strong understanding of Excel and large dataset validation.

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of Python scripting for QA automation.
Experience with distributed web scraping frameworks.
Understanding of proxy management and anti-bot mechanisms.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
Exposure to automated data validation frameworks.
Experience in a Web Scraping, Market Intelligence, or Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) company.

Leadership Expectations

The QA Team Lead should be capable of:

Managing a team of QA Engineers effectively.
Handling multiple client projects simultaneously.
Ensuring on-time project deliveries with high quality.
Mentoring junior QA team members.
