Overview:
Responsible for leading global engineering, integration, configuration, security and support for software, cloud and/or hardware solutions that run and grow the business. This Director will be at ease when interacting with peer and higher executives in problem solving and strategy situations, providing insights about current and future technology capabilities. These interactions will feed a planning process to create a technology roadmap and pipeline of projects to be delivered. The Engineering Director is responsible for pipeline management and project delivery. This leader will be an expert in one or more business and technical domains such as sales, customer service, order processing, web services, business intelligence, server vitualization, containerization and resiliency engineering. The Engineering Director role may tilt toward broad responsibilities (20 staff) or focus at a deeper level on strategic technology capabilities that require unique skills to implement. All leaders at this level are expected to facilitate communication flow, maintain an inclusive and positive work environment, coach and mentor co-corkers, manage resources effectively, consistently deliver on commitments, proactively and effectively manage risk, and perform other management duties, guided by defined policies, principles and objectives.
Essential Duties Responsibilities Required:
- Manage integrated teams to deliver prioritized projects on time and within budget (30%)
- Leverage business and technology knowledge to lead development of strategic technology proposals for sustaining and improving business performance (20%)
- Ensure technology products in use maintain up to date security defenses and are effectively supported for dependable operations (15%)
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to define and maintain multi-year technology investment roadmaps that prevent technology obsolescence, efficiently support the commercial strategy, and provide flexibiity to pivot as needed in the future. (10%)
- Effectively prioritize and resource initiatives to optimize value and risk management (10%)
- Collaborate with business leaders and SMEs to understand and contribute to commercial strategy (10%)
- Continuously update technical and industry knowledge (5%)

Qualifications:Experience:
- 8 to 10 Years of relevant work experience.
- 1 to 3 Years of experience directly managing / supervising employees.
Education Certifications:
- Masters / Postgraduate Degree with Computer Science or Related Field of Study preferred.
- Bachelors Degree with Computer Science or Related field of study required.
- Other Education / Certifications: MBA equally desirable to MS in Computer Science
Senior level certifications in multiple technical domains
Working Conditions:
- Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires.
- On-call availability required as necessary.
