- Own the financial governance framework for a portfolio of BI&T programs and projects.
- Partner with BI&T and Finance leadership to align portfolio investments with strategic business priorities.
- Lead annual financial planning, forecasting, investment tracking, and budget optimization activities.
- Provide strategic recommendations regarding funding allocation, investment trade-offs, and portfolio prioritization.
- Influence executive decision-making through financial insights, scenario modeling, and portfolio analytics.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.
- Establish and continuously enhance portfolio financial management standards, controls, and operating procedures.
- Ensure governance compliance for project budgets, forecasts, capitalization, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Drive accountability for financial performance across all projects within the portfolio.
- Lead financial risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation activities.
Serve as an escalation point for project financial issues and funding challenges.

- Develop executive-level dashboards and portfolio health metrics.
- Provide monthly and quarterly financial reviews to senior leadership.
- Deliver actionable insights related to spend management, forecast accuracy, investment utilization, and value realization.
- Lead portfolio performance analyses and identify opportunities for cost optimization and investment efficiency.
- Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks that improve portfolio transparency.
- Drive modernization of project financial management processes through automation, analytics, and AI.
- Leverage Generative AI capabilities to improve forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and decision support.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that increase operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Evaluate emerging industry trends and implement innovative financial management practices.
- Partner closely with PMOs, Finance, Procurement, Product Leaders, and Project Managers across the enterprise.
- Influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels without direct authority.
- Facilitate portfolio governance forums, investment reviews, and executive presentations.
- Build strong partnerships with Finance and leadership teams to ensure alignment on financial objectives.
- Mentor and develop Project Financial Analysts and PMO financial resources.
- Drive adoption of financial management best practices throughout the organization.
- Establish training materials, governance documentation, and knowledge management processes.
- Foster a culture of financial accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7–9+ years of experience in Project Financial Management, Portfolio Management, PMO, FP&A, or Technology Financial Operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex enterprise portfolios and multi-million-dollar technology investments.
- Experience working with senior business, technology, and finance leaders.
Technical Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or equivalent).
- Advanced experience with Project Portfolio Management platforms (ServiceNow PPM, Planview, MS Project Portfolio Management, or similar).
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, capitalization, and variance analysis capabilities.
- Expert proficiency with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and financial analytics tools.
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, and data analytics to drive business outcomes.
