Junior Python Developer – Bedrock Foundry (Onsite, Kozhikode)

About the Role

We are hiring a driven and analytical Junior Python Developer to join our backend engineering team in Kozhikode. This is a full-time, onsite role tailored for freshers, coding bootcamp graduates, and entry-level developers (0 to 1 year of experience) who have a strong foundation in Python and want to build high-performance web applications and backend systems. If you enjoy solving algorithmic puzzles, writing clean code, and working with databases, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code to develop backend services and applications.
API Design: Build and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs using modern frameworks (like FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
Database Integration: Write optimized queries and work with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
Debugging & Testing: Identify, debug, and fix software bugs, and write unit tests to ensure code reliability.
Collaboration: Work alongside frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Qualifications

Experience: 0–1 year of software development experience (Freshers with strong personal coding projects are highly encouraged to apply).
Education: B.Tech / BE / BCA / MCA / B.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
Core Python Skills: Solid understanding of core Python concepts, object-oriented programming (OOPs), data structures, and algorithms.
Tools: Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and basic command-line operations in Linux.
Mindset: Strong logical thinking, a passion for learning new tech stacks, and a collaborative spirit.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

A public GitHub profile showcasing personal Python projects, automation scripts, or web scrapers.
Foundational understanding of relational databases and SQL query writing.
Basic exposure to containerization tools like Docker or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
