About SimplifiNest

SimplifiNest is a Pune-based D2C home essentials brand building ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture and kitchen/home organization products for the Indian home. We sell across our own website, Amazon, Flipkart, and Blinkit, and have crossed ₹1.01 Crore in GMV bootstrapped within 7 months of launch — growing at roughly 30% month-on-month.

The company is founded by IIM postgraduates who left corporate careers to build SimplifiNest from the ground up.

Our positioning is simple: be the “IKEA for India” in the affordable-functional home essentials space — designed for Indian homes, priced for Indian wallets, and built on a tight feedback loop from customers back to our factory floor. We're recognized under DPIIT (DIPP251149) and registered as an MSME (UDYAM-MH-26-0945616).

We're a lean, founder-led team that moves fast and expects the same from everyone we bring on — including this role.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Expert to build, manage, and optimize our online store. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the Shopify platform, from theme customization and app integrations to conversion optimization and store performance, and can independently take ownership of the store's technical health and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, configure, and maintain the Shopify store (theme, pages, navigation, collections, product catalog).
Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to match brand and business requirements.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Shopify apps and third-party integrations (payment gateways, shipping, inventory, marketing tools, etc.).
Optimize site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience.
Manage product listings, pricing, variants, inventory sync, and collections.
Implement and maintain SEO best practices (meta tags, URL structure, schema markup, site speed).
Set up and monitor checkout flow, payment gateways, taxes, and shipping rules.
Analyze store performance using Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and other tools; recommend improvements.
Run and support conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives — A/B testing, landing pages, upsells/cross-sells.
Troubleshoot bugs, broken links, checkout issues, and app conflicts.
Coordinate with designers, marketers, and developers for campaigns, promotions, and new product launches.
Ensure store compliance with data privacy, accessibility, and security standards.
Stay current with Shopify updates, new features, and e-commerce trends.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience managing/building Shopify stores (portfolio or live store examples required).
Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with Shopify theme customization (custom themes or heavily modified templates).
Familiarity with popular Shopify apps (Klaviyo, Yotpo, ReCharge, Bundle.app, etc.).
Understanding of e-commerce fundamentals: checkout flow, payment gateways, shipping/tax setup.
Basic SEO knowledge specific to Shopify stores.
Experience with Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and/or Google Tag Manager.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
