CGI is looking for a highly motivated Tableau Developer with 4–6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, and Database Technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Tableau development, SQL, and data modeling, with experience delivering analytical solutions in an Agile environment. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global delivery teams and business stakeholders.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
Create and manage Tableau data sources, extracts, and data models.
Work with large datasets from multiple data sources while ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency.
Optimize Tableau dashboards and database queries for performance and scalability.
Collaborate with business users, data engineers, solution architects, and cross-functional project teams to deliver business intelligence solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving reporting and data-related issues.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, dashboard specifications, and development standards.
Follow CGI development standards, best practices, and quality processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must Have Skills:
5–8 years of hands-on experience in Tableau development and Business Intelligence solutions.
Strong expertise in:

Advanced SQL development skills.
Hands-on experience with one or more relational databases:
Microsoft SQL Server
Oracle
PostgreSQL
Snowflake
Azure SQL Database
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
Experience developing calculated fields, parameters, Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, dashboard actions, and advanced Tableau visualizations.
Knowledge of Tableau Server administration, security, permissions, publishing, and performance tuning.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and analytics solutions.
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Exposure to ETL tools including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Informatica, Alteryx, or SSIS.
Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation.
Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Certified Data Analyst, or Tableau Certified Professional certification.
Experience with enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
