Job Description – Procurement, Logistics & Supply Chain Executive

Position: Procurement & Supply Chain Executive / Manager
Department: Procurement & Supply Chain
Location: Bengaluru
Industry: FMCG – Hygiene & Wellness Products
Experience: 3–6 years
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Procurement, Logistics & Supply Chain professional who can manage the complete flow of products and materials—from vendor sourcing and purchase to inventory, warehousing and final delivery.

The ideal candidate should have strong vendor-management and negotiation skills, good knowledge of FMCG procurement, and the ability to ensure that products are available at the right time, right quantity and right cost.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

Identify, evaluate and onboard reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
Source raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, lead times and other commercial terms.
Raise and manage Purchase Orders (POs).
Track purchase orders from placement to delivery.
Ensure timely procurement based on sales forecasts and inventory requirements.
Develop alternate vendors to reduce dependency and supply risk.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate better commercial terms.
Coordinate with Quality, Production, Finance and Sales teams for procurement requirements.

Inventory & Supply Chain

Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock.
Prepare procurement plans based on sales forecasts, inventory and upcoming launches.
Avoid stock-outs as well as excess/slow-moving inventory.
Track SKU-wise inventory, ageing, expiry and batch details, especially for FMCG products.
Coordinate stock movement between vendors, warehouse, marketplaces and distributors.
Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile physical vs. system stock.
Support demand planning and supply forecasting.

Logistics

Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
Work with transporters, courier partners and logistics vendors.
Track shipments and ensure timely deliveries.
Negotiate freight and transportation costs.
Manage dispatch documentation, invoices, e-way bills and delivery-related documents.
Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, damages and incorrect deliveries.
Coordinate with warehouse teams for receiving, storage and dispatch.

Warehouse Coordination

Coordinate with warehouse teams on inwarding, storage, picking and dispatch.
Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
Monitor warehouse capacity and stock movement.
Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliation.
Ensure proper handling and storage of FMCG products.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially strong and hands-on, and who can independently manage procurement, logistics and supply-chain activities in a fast-growing FMCG environment.

The candidate should be comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities can change quickly and should have strong ownership of cost, availability, inventory and timely delivery.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
