Senior Content & Social Media Strategist

Brand: Sestra
Location: Fort, Mumbai
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience: 3–5 years
Salary: ₹30,000–₹50,000 per month, depending on experience and expertise
Working Days: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–6:30 PM
Saturday: Work From Home

About Sestra

Sestra is looking for a Senior Content & Social Media Strategist who can take ownership of our digital presence and build a strong, engaging, and recognisable brand on social media.

We are looking for someone who is not just good at posting content, but understands why content works—someone who can develop ideas, create compelling storytelling, understand trends, drive engagement, and turn social media into a meaningful growth channel for the brand.

If you are passionate about Instagram, fashion, lifestyle, storytelling, Reels, creators, and building D2C brands, we'd love to meet you.

Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & Growth

Own and execute Sestra's overall social media and content strategy.
Develop strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, followers, reach, and conversions.
Build and manage monthly and weekly content calendars across Instagram and other relevant platforms.
Identify emerging trends, viral formats, content opportunities, and platform updates.
Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for Sestra to stand out.
Use social media insights and performance data to continuously improve content strategy.

Content Creation & Storytelling

Develop creative concepts for Instagram Reels, Stories, static posts, carousels, campaigns, and short-form videos.
Create relatable, entertaining, aspirational, and fashion/lifestyle-led content aligned with Sestra's brand identity.
Write strong hooks, captions, scripts, CTAs, and creative briefs.
Develop content pillars and maintain consistency in brand voice and visual storytelling.
Be comfortable appearing on camera and creating/leading relatable on-camera content when required.

Content Production

Plan and coordinate regular content shoots from concept to execution.
Prepare shoot briefs, references, shot lists, scripts, and content requirements.
Coordinate with photographers, videographers, designers, editors, stylists, and external vendors.
Ensure content is delivered on time and meets the required quality and brand standards.
Have a hands-on understanding of basic video shooting/editing and tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar platforms.

Influencer & Creator Collaborations

Identify relevant influencers, creators, UGC creators, and brand collaborators.
Manage influencer outreach, negotiations, briefs, deliverables, and timelines.
Build long-term relationships with relevant creators.
Track influencer campaign performance and identify high-performing creators for future collaborations.

Performance & Reporting

Track key social media metrics including reach, engagement, views, saves, shares, follower growth, and conversions.
Prepare regular performance reports and insights.
Identify what content is performing and why.
Recommend new formats, experiments, and strategies based on data and audience behaviour.

Brand Management

Ensure every piece of communication reflects Sestra's brand voice, positioning, aesthetic, and target audience.
Maintain consistency across all social media touchpoints.
Take ownership of the brand's content quality and overall social media presence.

Requirements

3–5 years of relevant experience in social media, content marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience managing Instagram for a fashion, lifestyle, D2C, beauty, or consumer brand.
Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, Stories, content strategy, algorithms, trends, and short-form video.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute content strategies rather than simply manage posting.
Excellent creative thinking, copywriting, storytelling, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of what makes content engaging, shareable, and conversion-oriented.
Comfortable being on camera and creating/leading video content.
Experience working with influencers and content creators.
Strong project management and coordination skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proactive, organised, trend-aware, and highly execution-oriented.

Bonus Skills

Experience with a fashion or lifestyle D2C brand.
Experience planning and executing professional content shoots.
Basic photography/video shooting and editing skills.
Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, or similar platforms.
Experience with UGC campaigns and influencer marketing.
Familiarity with AI tools for content ideation, scripting, research, and content creation.
Understanding of paid social media/Meta Ads is a plus.

Compensation

₹30,000–₹50,000 per month, depending on relevant experience, portfolio, skill set, and overall fit.
