Full job description

Job Title: Junior Support EngineerExperience : 0–1 Year

Job Type : Full-Time Night Shift

Working Hours: 9:00 pm to 6:00 am, Monday–Friday (Night Shift)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Junior Support Engineer to provide production support during the night shift. The candidate will monitor applications and servers, troubleshoot basic technical issues, support application deployments, and communicate with US-based clients and internal teams.

The candidate should have a good understanding of Linux and Windows Server, basic knowledge of Java and .NET applications, and good English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

* Monitor production applications and servers.
* Provide basic production-level support and troubleshoot technical issues.
* Deploy and support .NET applications on IIS.
* Monitor IIS websites, application pools, services, and server resources.
* Perform basic Linux server administration and troubleshooting.
* Perform basic Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
* Check application and server logs to identify issues.
* Monitor server CPU, memory, disk space, and services.
* Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues.
* Provide basic support for Java applications, including checking services and logs.
* Monitor scheduled jobs and application services.
* Respond to production alerts and support tickets.
* Escalate complex issues to the appropriate development or infrastructure team.
* Maintain proper incident and troubleshooting documentation.
* Prepare shift handover updates for the next support team.
* Follow production support procedures and SLA requirements.

Required Technical Skills :

* Linux: Good basic knowledge of Linux commands, services, logs, files, permissions, and troubleshooting.
* Windows Server: Basic knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, Windows Services, Event Viewer, and server troubleshooting.
* .NET: Basic understanding of .NET applications and deployment using IIS.
* Java: Basic understanding of Java applications and ability to check application logs/services.
* Networking: Basic knowledge of IP, DNS, ports, and connectivity troubleshooting.
* SQL: Basic knowledge of SQL and database connectivity is an advantage.
* Basic knowledge of PowerShell or Bash scripting is an advantage.

English Communication & Client Interaction :

* Good verbal and written English communication skills are required.
* Ability to communicate professionally with US-based clients.
* Comfortable joining client/support calls.
* Ability to clearly explain technical issues and provide status updates.
* Good communication skills for email, chat, and support tickets.

Candidate Requirements :

* 0–1 year of experience in IT Support, Application Support, Infrastructure Support, or a related field.
* Freshers with relevant technical knowledge and good communication skills can also apply.
* Willingness to work night shifts.
* Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of issues.
