Job Description – Business Development Manager (BDM)

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month (Based on Interview Performance & Experience)

Job Summary

OJD Education is looking for a dynamic, confident, and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Education Sector. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, leadership, sales, and relationship management skills to generate new business opportunities, develop institutional partnerships, increase student admissions, and contribute to the overall growth of the organization.

The candidate will be responsible for expanding the organization's reach, building strong relationships with educational institutions and clients, supporting admissions, and representing OJD Education professionally through both office-based and field activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Lead Generation

Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, references, digital platforms, field visits, and market research.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, educational institutions, coaching centres, colleges, universities, and corporate organizations.
Develop business strategies to strengthen the organization's presence in the education sector.
Explore new markets and partnership opportunities to support organizational growth.

Institutional Partnerships

Develop and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, universities, coaching institutes, NGOs, and corporate organizations.
Conduct institutional meetings to establish long-term collaborations.
Coordinate career guidance sessions, seminars, workshops, and educational awareness programs.
Strengthen partnerships that support student admissions and organizational development.

Admissions & Student Counselling

Counsel prospective students and parents regarding available courses, certifications, career opportunities, and admission procedures.
Explain course curriculum, fee structure, learning methodology, and placement assistance.
Guide students throughout the admission process and provide timely follow-up.
Coordinate with the admissions team to ensure a smooth admission experience.

Client Relationship Management

Handle inbound and outbound communication professionally.
Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students and institutional partners through calls, WhatsApp, emails, and meetings.
Build long-term professional relationships with students, parents, institutions, and corporate clients.
Ensure a positive and professional experience for every enquiry.

Marketing & Promotional Activities

Coordinate with the Marketing Team for promotional campaigns and outreach activities.
Represent OJD Education at seminars, education fairs, workshops, exhibitions, and promotional events.
Promote the organization's educational programs and services through field visits and networking activities.

Team Coordination

Coordinate with the Business Development, Admissions, Academic, Marketing, HR, and Administration teams.
Support colleagues in planning and executing business development initiatives.
Encourage effective communication and collaboration across departments.

Data Management & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, admissions, institutional visits, and business activities.
Update CRM, Excel sheets, and business records regularly.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly business activity reports.
Ensure confidentiality of company, student, and client information.

Required Skills

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and relationship management abilities.
Sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
Institutional partnership and networking abilities.
Good command of Hindi and basic spoken English.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel, Email, Internet, Google Workspace).
Knowledge of CRM and lead management systems will be an added advantage.
Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities.

Eligibility

Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing/Business Management preferred).
Minimum 1 year of experience in Business Development, Education Sales, Admissions, Counselling, Institutional Sales, or Client Relationship Management in the Education Sector.
Experience in an Educational Institute, Training Institute, Coaching Institute, University, or EdTech Company will be preferred.
Candidate should be a resident of Lucknow.
Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Mandatory Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in the Education Sector is mandatory.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and business development skills.
Willingness to work both in the office and in the field for institutional visits, business meetings, promotional activities, seminars, and events.
Must maintain professionalism while interacting with students, parents, institutional representatives, and corporate clients.
Should report to the office on time and maintain punctuality.
Must follow company policies and maintain confidentiality.
