Full job description

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to manage front desk operations and ensure a positive experience for patients and visitors. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a pleasant personality, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Manage patient registrations, appointments, and follow-up schedules.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
Maintain patient records and update information accurately in the system.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and feedback appropriately.
Manage billing support, payment collection, and issue receipts when required.
Monitor waiting times and keep patients informed about delays.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with healthcare regulations.
Prepare daily reports related to appointments, patient visits, and front office activities.
Support administrative and operational tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Executive, or Customer Service Executive (Healthcare experience preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Malayalam and English.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer applications.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to handle patients and visitors with empathy and professionalism.
Good typing and data entry skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts when required.

Preferred Skills

Experience in hospital, clinic, pharmacy, or healthcare settings.
Knowledge of appointment scheduling and patient management systems.
Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
