Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Electrical Technician to handle the electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems across industrial and commercial projects. The role focuses on power wiring, control wiring, panels, automation interfaces, and system safety compliance to ensure HVAC equipment operates reliably, efficiently, and as per approved drawings and standards.

This position is critical in supporting HVAC project execution, system commissioning, and after-sales service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Installation & Wiring

Execute power and control wiring for HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust systems, and pumps.
Install and terminate MCC panels, VFDs, control panels, sensors, actuators, thermostats, and interlocks.
Ensure proper earthing, cable dressing, tagging, and gland termination as per site standards.

2. Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting

Perform insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, voltage and load verification before system energization.
Support HVAC commissioning by ensuring correct motor rotation, interlocks, safeties, and control logic.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in HVAC systems, including control circuits, drives, and automation components.

3. Controls & Automation Support

Assist in installation and integration of BMS/DDC panels, sensors, dampers, VFDs, and actuators.
Coordinate with controls engineers for point-to-point checks, loop testing, and functional testing.
Ensure proper signal wiring and shielding practices to avoid interference and control failures.

4. Safety, Quality & Compliance

Follow electrical safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out practices, and PPE protocols at all times.
Ensure all work complies with IS standards, local electrical codes, and project specifications.
Maintain site documentation such as test reports, checklists, red-line drawings, and commissioning records.

5. Site Coordination & Support

Coordinate with HVAC engineers, mechanical teams, and project managers to meet project timelines.
Support service and maintenance teams during breakdowns, retrofits, and performance issues.
Guide junior technicians and ensure proper workmanship on site.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC electrical works (industrial/commercial projects).
Strong knowledge of:
- HVAC electrical systems and schematics
- Control wiring and motor control circuits
- VFDs, starters, relays, and protection devices
- Electrical testing instruments (multimeter, megger, clamp meter)

Preferred

Experience in pharma, manufacturing plants, cleanrooms, data centers, hospitals, or large commercial HVAC projects.
Exposure to BMS integration and HVAC automation systems.
Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and commissioning documents.
