Technical Marketing Analyst / Senior Business Analyst

Location: Remote, India
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Marketing Analyst / Senior Business Analyst who can connect marketing strategy, customer data, technology, and business objectives.

This position requires someone who can turn complex marketing and operational data into clear business insights while working closely with marketing, sales, product, technology, and leadership teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable gathering requirements, analyzing campaign performance, building dashboards, and identifying opportunities to improve customer engagement and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and reporting requirements.
Translate business questions into structured analytical requirements and measurable outcomes.
Analyze digital marketing, customer, campaign, CRM, and conversion data to identify trends and performance opportunities.
Monitor key marketing metrics such as acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and campaign ROI.
Work with GA4, Adobe Analytics, CRM platforms, and other marketing data sources to consolidate performance information.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
Use SQL and Excel to extract, validate, transform, and analyze business data.
Evaluate campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations to marketing teams.
Support segmentation, customer journey analysis, funnel analysis, and marketing attribution initiatives.
Collaborate with CRM and marketing-automation teams to improve data quality and reporting processes.
Gather requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, interviews, and documentation reviews.
Convert requirements into user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and analytical deliverables.
Identify gaps between business expectations and existing systems or processes.
Work with technical teams to clarify requirements and validate delivered solutions.
Perform data validation and investigate discrepancies across reporting platforms and source systems.
Track business-analysis activities and project deliverables using Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

5–7 years of experience in business analysis, marketing analytics, digital analytics, or a related role.
Strong understanding of marketing performance measurement and business analysis methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and/or Adobe Analytics.
Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience creating business dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Practical understanding of CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
Knowledge of marketing automation and campaign measurement.
Strong experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify patterns and translate them into business recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with large marketing or customer datasets.
Understanding of customer acquisition funnels and digital conversion journeys.
Familiarity with campaign attribution and marketing ROI analysis.
Exposure to data visualization best practices.
Experience collaborating with data engineers, developers, marketing specialists, and product teams.
Knowledge of data governance, reporting standards, and data-quality processes.
Experience working in distributed or remote teams.
