Job Description: Video Editor

Organization: Delhi Dialogues
Location: Rajouri Garden, New Delhi
Position: Video Editor

About the Role

Delhi Dialogues is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our production team in Rajouri Garden. The ideal candidate should be passionate about storytelling through video and capable of producing high-quality content for digital and social media platforms in a fast-paced news environment.

Key Responsibilities

Edit news reports, interviews, podcasts, reels, and promotional videos.
Create engaging video content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
Add graphics, captions, transitions, sound effects, and background music where appropriate.
Perform color correction, audio enhancement, and basic motion graphics.
Work closely with reporters, producers, and the content team to ensure timely delivery of videos.
Organize and manage video footage and project files efficiently.
Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and editorial standards.
Deliver high-quality videos within tight deadlines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Video Editing, Multimedia, Mass Communication, or a related field (preferred).
1–3 years of professional video editing experience.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, or DaVinci Resolve is an advantage.
Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and social media specifications.
Excellent storytelling, pacing, and visual editing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience editing news and current affairs content.
Knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
Familiarity with YouTube content optimization and social media trends.
Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
