Full job description

Role purpose

This role will play a key part in strengthening and developing Cauridor’s IT infrastructure as the company continues to scale. The position will oversee IT operations, device management, security, and employee technology support, while establishing clear and scalable processes across the employee lifecycle. The IT Manager will establish IT as a proper function. This is a build-and-own role for an experienced IT professional, someone who can set standards once and scale them, and who can eventually lead a team rather than remain a solo function indefinitely.

Your Impact Zone

Device Lifecycle Management

Prepare and configure laptops before employees receive them, including for fully remote new joiners.
Own the end-to-end device lifecycle — procurement coordination, setup, tracking, and retirement/return.
Evaluate and potentially manage outsourced device logistics partners for physical shipping/logistics, while retaining internal ownership of standards and governance.

Identity and access management

Administer company-wide identity and access systems, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and role-based access.
Maintain an accurate register of company accounts and system owners.
Apply least-privilege access and conduct periodic access reviews.
Manage access throughout the full employee lifecycle, including role changes, transfers and extended leave.
Protect and monitor privileged and administrator accounts.

Security & Access Governance

Manage security software, antivirus, VPNs, and access controls company-wide.
Design, implement, and enforce security policies across all devices and markets.
Own password and account security policy, including enforcement mechanisms.
Ensure all devices can be remotely managed, locked, or wiped when required.

Onboarding & Offboarding (IT)

Own the IT side of onboarding and offboarding – device provisioning, account creation, and access revocation on exit.
Build a repeatable, documented process so onboarding/offboarding no longer depends on informal HR or Engineering support.
Coordinate closely with HR to ensure IT and People processes are aligned, not duplicated.

IT Infrastructure & Foundations

Establish foundational IT infrastructure and processes appropriate for the company's current stage and growth trajectory.
Manage email and access-related IT issues company-wide.
Document standards and processes so they're maintainable and scalable, not personal knowledge.

Team & Function Building

Build the case for and eventually oversee additional IT resources as the company scales.
Own vendor relationships relevant to IT (device logistics, security tools, infrastructure providers).

What success looks like in the first year

Device management, security, and onboarding/offboarding have moved from informal HR/Engineering coverage to a properly owned IT function.
A documented, repeatable process exists for provisioning and retiring devices for remote hires across multiple countries.
Company-wide security policies (passwords, access, remote wipe capability) are defined, implemented, and enforced — not just written down.
HR and Engineering can point to IT as the clear owner of these areas, freeing their own teams from informal coverage.
A clear case exists (with evidence) for whether/when to bring on additional IT headcount.

Your Toolkit for the Role

At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or IT security, ideally including building or owning a function rather than only executing within one.
Hands-on experience with MDM (mobile device management) tools, remote wipe/lock capability, and endpoint security.
Strong knowledge of access control, VPN, and account security best practices.
Experience managing device logistics across multiple countries or a distributed/remote workforce.
Comfortable establishing processes and standards from scratch, not just following existing ones.
Experience in a startup or scaling company is a strong advantage — this role requires building infrastructure appropriate to current scale, not enterprise-grade complexity on day one.
Experience in fintech or another regulated industry is a plus, given the security and compliance sensitivity of Cauridor's business.
Fluent English; French is an advantage given Cauridor's Francophone markets.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
