RESTAURANT MANAGER - i'Deli Cafe

Lead Our New Kakkanad Outlet

We are opening a new i'Deli Cafe outlet in Kakkanad, Kochi, and are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the operation, build a high-performing team, and deliver the premium service standards that define the i'Deli experience.

The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, commercial awareness, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Team Leadership

Lead, train, motivate, and develop the restaurant team while maintaining high standards of professionalism, discipline, grooming, teamwork, and accountability.

Restaurant Operations

Oversee the complete day-to-day operation of the outlet, ensuring smooth workflow, effective coordination between kitchen and service teams, and consistent adherence to i'Deli operating standards.

Guest Experience

Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive, and efficient service while maintaining a consistently high standard of hospitality throughout the outlet.

Service Excellence

Monitor service quality, speed, accuracy, presentation, and attention to detail throughout every shift, particularly during peak operating hours.

Sales & Business Performance

Drive outlet sales by monitoring targets, analysing business performance, encouraging upselling, supporting promotions, and identifying opportunities to improve revenue and guest engagement.

Cost & Profitability

Monitor food cost, labour cost, wastage, and operating expenses while maintaining the quality and service standards expected from i'Deli Cafe.

Inventory Management

Oversee stock levels, receiving, storage, product rotation, stock movement, and wastage to ensure availability and efficient utilisation of resources.

Quality & Hygiene

Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, cleanliness, sanitation, grooming, and overall outlet presentation in accordance with company and food-safety standards.

Floor Management

Remain actively involved on the floor during service, monitor guest flow and team performance, and respond quickly to operational requirements and service challenges.

Staff Training & Development

Train and coach team members in service standards, product knowledge, guest interaction, grooming, upselling, and operational procedures.

Guest Relations

Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and efficiently, ensuring issues are resolved promptly while maintaining a positive relationship with the guest and the brand.

Team Scheduling

Plan staff schedules and deployment according to business requirements, ensuring appropriate manpower and effective coverage across all shifts.

Standards & Compliance

Ensure all employees follow company SOPs, food-safety requirements, hygiene practices, workplace standards, and operational policies.

Reporting & Communication

Maintain accurate reports relating to sales, staffing, inventory, wastage, guest feedback, and operational performance, while communicating key observations and requirements to senior management.

Outlet Launch & Setup

Support the launch of the new Kakkanad outlet, including team formation, training, SOP implementation, operational readiness, and establishing service standards from day one.

Brand Representation

Represent i'Deli Cafe with professionalism, confidence, warmth, and attention to detail, ensuring that the team's conduct and presentation reflect the brand's standards.

Experience

5–8 years of experience in restaurant, cafe, hospitality, or related operations preferred.

Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Outlet Manager, or similar leadership role preferred.

Experience in premium cafes, restaurants, casual dining, QSR, or hospitality brands is an advantage.

Education

Bachelor's degree or Hospitality Management qualification preferred.

Relevant professional experience and demonstrated leadership ability will also be considered.
