What are we looking for?

We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious, and results-driven Commercial Account Manager to drive new business growth, renewals, and customer retention across INMEA. The role focuses on expanding Checkmarx's presence in India by building strong customer and partner relationships, generating pipeline, managing the full sales cycle, and achieving revenue targets.

The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with strong business development, relationship management, and opportunity-closing skills. With a high level of ownership, a competitive mindset, and a passion for learning, they will identify growth opportunities, navigate complex sales environments, and deliver sustained revenue growth and customer success.

How will you make an impact?

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will play a key role in driving Checkmarx's growth across the INMEA market. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with customers and partners, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing. This is a highly autonomous, hands-on role that requires a proactive approach to pipeline generation, partner development and customer engagement. Success in this position comes from taking ownership of your territory, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and consistently delivering against your sales targets while expanding Checkmarx's presence in the region.

Responsibilities

Achieve quarterly and annual new business revenue targets within the assigned territory.
Build, develop, and manage a strong sales pipeline through strategic prospecting, partner engagement, and account expansion through impactful customer presentations and represent Checkmarx at customer, partner, and industry events.
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across the Indian commercial market.
Drive customer renewals and retention across the INMEA region, ensuring long-term value and growth.
Clearly articulate the Checkmarx value proposition and align solutions to customers’ business and application security needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, distributors, and key stakeholders to accelerate business growth.
Own the complete sales cycle—from discovery and solution positioning to commercial negotiations, proposals, RFP responses, and contract execution.
Collaborate with Channel, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to maximize customer outcomes and revenue opportunities.
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account data in CRM; actively participate in forecast and business review discussions.
Engage directly with customers through regular face-to-face interactions and travel as required to strengthen relationships and drive business success.

Requirements:

What is needed to succeed?

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
We are seeking candidates based in Mumbai or Bangalore for this role.
5+ years of successful B2B software sales experience, ideally in a Commercial or Mid-Market environment.
Experience in Application Security, DevSecOps or Cybersecurity is highly preferred. Candidates with a strong security background and experience selling security solutions will be at a distinct advantage.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding new business sales targets and building a healthy sales pipeline.
Strong understanding of enterprise sales methodologies, including new business development, account expansion and commercial negotiations.
Experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and closing.
Excellent relationship-building, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.
Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) and CRM forecasting/reporting tools.
Working knowledge of the MEDDPICC sales methodology (or willingness to adopt and apply it consistently).
Strong organisational, time management and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.Be a creative problem solver

Strong written & verbal communication skills in English
