Full job description

As a Creator & Podcast Strategist at Back Benchers Digital, you will be responsible for

developing and executing content strategies for creators, founders, brands and podcasts.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of storytelling, audience behaviour, personal

branding and digital content. Previous experience in managing creators or podcast

production is preferred.

You will work closely with founders, creators, hosts, clients, producers, designers and

internal teams to ensure every content piece is strategically relevant, well-structured,

engaging and aligned with the creator or brand's objectives.

Core Competencies

Excellent written + verbal skills, knowledge of MS PowerPoint is essential and

MS Excel is a bonus

Ability to create and edit content with good spelling, grammar, style and tone

Establish a content strategy that is in sync with the creator or brand’s

philosophy and objectives across multiple platforms like Instagram,

Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn etc. and devise strategic content while

upholding creativity standards of the agency

Effectively communicate with internal teams and internal resources to ensure

that projects are running smoothly on time

Develop concepts and scripts based on research, data & insights

Monitor digital & new media industry trends and competitors to identify

potential business avenues and improve current offerings of the agency

Timely resolution of client escalations

Respond positively to feedback

Ability to multitask and handle pressure should the role demand it

Understanding the client’s requirements & provide creative solutions

Driving innovation and creativity for the brands & creators on board

Creator & Founder Expertise

Strong understanding of creator content, personal branding and audience behaviour

across digital platforms.

Ability to work closely with founders and creators to understand their vision,

personality, expertise and business objectives and translate them into a clear content

strategy.

Ability to develop content pillars, formats, calendars and platform-specific strategies.

Expertise in creating hooks, scripts, reels, shorts, captions and long-form content

aligned with the creator's voice.

Ability to translate a creator's personality, expertise and opinions into engaging and

authentic content.●

Strong understanding of trends, storytelling, content repurposing and platform-native

formats.

Ability to analyse content performance and audience insights to optimise future

content.

Experience in creator shoots, creative direction, influencer collaborations and

branded content.

Ability to build a consistent and scalable content ecosystem that supports audience

growth, personal brand building and business objectives.

Expected Requirements:

Proven experience or aptitude in podcast ideation, development, scriptwriting, creator

content and content strategy.

Strong storytelling skills and ability to create compelling narratives.

Excellent research, writing and editing skills.

Understanding of social media and digital content formats.

Ability to manage multiple creators, episodes, projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Content Development & Writing:

Research and develop compelling episode themes, scripts, and interview

questions.

Craft show notes, introductions, transitions, and outros with strong storytelling

elements.

Ensure brand messaging is seamlessly integrated into the content.

2. Show Flow & Strategy:

Design episode structures that maintain engagement and flow effectively.

Develop a long-term content calendar aligned with audience interests and

business goals.

Optimize content for different podcast formats, including interviews,

roundtables, and solo episodes.

3. Guest & Interview Coordination:

Research potential guests and craft insightful questions.

Assist hosts with interview prep and conversation direction.

4. Production Management:

Work with producers and editors to ensure smooth episode execution.

Ensure consistency in tone, pacing, and overall quality of episodes.

Oversee content revisions based on feedback and audience insights.

5. Audience Growth & Engagement:

Collaborate with the team to repurpose podcast content into reels, YT shorts,

PR articles, Spotify & Audible uploads and social media clips.

Analyze performance metrics and optimize future episodes based on data.6. Content & Solutions Execution

Copywriting and content bank creation for posts including creative copy, concept

and captions for all accounts assigned

Create contextual, innovative content for brands & creators assigned

Collaborate with relevant teams for executing client briefs - video, design,

photography etc. as and when required

Write concepts and scripts, and create moodboards, storyboards with teams

Working on social media content & responses, SEO content, website content,

and blogs if needed

Leading and executing shoots for creators, brands as needed

Conceptualising ideas and drafting scripts for proposed influencer associations

Presenting creative solutions to the client, getting necessary approvals, and

finalising the approach for further course of action leading to execution

Providing timely feedback to the internal teams and making sure appropriate

revisions are made to the concept, design, etc.

Be accountable and review all content, making sure the brand hygiene is in place

- including grammar, spelling, design errors, bio, highlights etc. of all content &

collateral to ensure minimal errors from the agency side

Monitoring and using analytics to analyse the effectiveness of ongoing content of

the brand page including community sentiment, traffic, post performance and

engagements, leads and conversions

Monthly report to the Management/ Client regarding the account's activities

7. Overall Account Execution

Work closely with arts & graphics, video teams to create campaigns

Deal with operational requirements of day to day creative functioning

End to end management of all creative and digital requirements of clients

Think quickly, bring ideas to the table and see them through to execution

Lead coordination and implementation of all digital campaigns across email,

social, web and other platforms if needed

Ensure accuracy & quality of deliverables on an ongoing basis

Ensure excellent commercial management of the business handled through

achievement of business targets, accurate & timely billing & collections

Key Performance Indicators

Meeting targets based on revenue, client management, value added services

Regular performance reviews to assess your leade
