Job Summary

Frutta is looking for an experienced and proactive Key Account Manager – Food to manage key corporate accounts and ensure seamless day-to-day food operations across client locations.

The role will be responsible for client relationship management, kitchen operations, order coordination, vendor management, service quality, billing, feedback, and issue resolution. The KAM will act as the key link between the client, kitchens, vendors, and internal teams to ensure consistent service delivery and a high level of client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should have strong operational ownership, communication and negotiation skills, along with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities1. Client & Account Management

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key corporate clients.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned food accounts.
Conduct regular client visits to understand requirements, collect feedback, and identify improvement areas.
Proactively handle and resolve client concerns and escalations.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding services within existing accounts.

2. Food Operations & Kitchen Management

Monitor daily food operations across assigned client locations.
Conduct regular kitchen visits to ensure adherence to quality, hygiene, service, and operational standards.
Monitor daily orders and ensure orders are posted to the respective kitchens accurately and on time.
Coordinate with kitchen teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
Support the onboarding of new kitchens and ensure smooth transition into operations.
Monitor food quality, quantity, presentation, and overall service standards.

3. Order & Service Monitoring

Conduct regular checks on orders and ensure there are no gaps in fulfilment.
Monitor daily operational updates through the Frutta app/system.
Ensure all required daily updates are completed accurately and on time.
Track operational issues and ensure timely closure with the concerned teams.

4. Vendor Management

Coordinate closely with food vendors and kitchen partners for smooth service delivery.
Communicate defects, quality issues, shortages, or service gaps to vendors and ensure corrective action.
Negotiate CP (Cost Price) and commercial terms with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and operational efficiency.
Develop strong vendor relationships while maintaining Frutta’s quality and commercial standards.
Evaluate vendor performance and escalate recurring issues where required.

5. Billing & Commercial Coordination

Coordinate and verify kitchen bills before submission/processing.
Obtain client confirmation for client bills and ensure timely closure of billing-related requirements.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in orders, quantities, pricing, or billing.
Maintain proper documentation related to client and vendor billing.

6. Feedback, Quality & Wastage Management

Regularly collect feedback from clients and users and convert feedback into actionable improvements.
Monitor food wastage and ensure regular wastage reporting.
Analyse recurring quality, wastage, and service-related issues and work with kitchens/vendors on corrective measures.
Ensure client expectations and Frutta's service standards are consistently maintained.

7. Escalation & Problem Solving

Take ownership of client escalations and ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate with internal teams, kitchens, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
Proactively identify potential service failures and take corrective action before they become client escalations.
Maintain clear communication with clients during issue resolution and ensure proper closure.

8. Account Growth & Business Development

Understand client requirements and identify opportunities to introduce additional food and workplace solutions.
Drive account growth through cross-selling and upselling.
Obtain references and identify potential business opportunities through existing client relationships.
Support commercial discussions and negotiations wherever required.

Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Food Operations, Hospitality, Catering, F&B Operations, or Client Servicing.
Graduation in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Business Administration or a relevant field preferred.
Experience in managing corporate clients and multiple operational stakeholders.
Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
Strong problem-solving and escalation-handling abilities.
Good understanding of food operations, kitchen processes, and service quality.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with operational/CRM applications.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take complete ownership of assigned accounts.
Willingness to travel regularly to client locations and kitchens.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, accountable, client-focused, and operationally strong, with the ability to manage both relationships and execution. The person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership from order placement to kitchen execution, client feedback, billing, vendor coordination, and final issue closure.
