Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven SEO Specialist to join our digital marketing agency.

The ideal candidate should have 2–4 years of hands-on experience across all major areas of SEO, including keyword research, on-page SEO, technical SEO, off-page SEO, local SEO, content optimisation and performance reporting.

You will be responsible for managing multiple client websites, developing SEO strategies, improving organic visibility and generating measurable growth in rankings, traffic, leads and conversions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute complete SEO strategies for client websites.
Conduct detailed keyword research, competitor analysis and search intent mapping.
Perform comprehensive website audits and identify technical, content and authority-related issues.
Optimise website pages, including titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal links, images and page content.
Prepare keyword mapping and content optimisation recommendations.
Create SEO content briefs for writers and review content before publication.
Identify content gaps and recommend new landing pages, blogs and topic clusters.
Improve website structure, crawlability, indexability and internal linking.
Monitor and resolve technical SEO issues such as:
Crawling and indexing problems
Duplicate content
Canonicalisation
Robots.txt
XML sitemaps
Redirects and broken links
Core Web Vitals
Page speed
Mobile usability
Schema markup
JavaScript SEO issues
Plan and execute ethical off-page SEO and link-building campaigns.
Evaluate backlink quality and identify potentially harmful links.
Manage local SEO campaigns, including Google Business Profile optimisation, local citations and location pages.
Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions and lead performance.
Set up and monitor SEO performance through Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.
Prepare weekly and monthly SEO reports with clear insights and action plans.
Coordinate with content writers, developers, designers and paid marketing teams.
Communicate SEO progress, challenges and recommendations to clients.
Stay updated with Google algorithm changes, search trends and SEO best practices.
Manage multiple SEO projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Required Skills and Experience

2–4 years of practical SEO experience.
Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, technical, local and content SEO.
Experience managing SEO campaigns for multiple websites or clients.
Strong knowledge of keyword research and search intent analysis.
Ability to perform detailed technical and on-page SEO audits.
Understanding of Google crawling, indexing and ranking systems.
Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.
Familiarity with SEO tools such as:
Ahrefs
Semrush
Screaming Frog
Moz
Ubersuggest
Google Keyword Planner
PageSpeed Insights
GTmetrix
Looker Studio
Working knowledge of WordPress and common SEO plugins such as Rank Math or Yoast SEO.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and website structure.
Experience with internal linking, content optimisation and backlink analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain SEO findings in clear and practical language.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a digital marketing agency.
Experience managing international SEO clients.
Knowledge of e-commerce SEO, SaaS SEO, local SEO or multilingual SEO.
Familiarity with Shopify, Magento, Webflow or other CMS platforms.
Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and user experience.
Familiarity with AI-assisted search, Google AI Overviews and evolving search behaviour.
Relevant certifications in Google Analytics, SEO or digital marketing.
