Business Development & Operations Manager

Detailed Job Description

Position Location: Mohali, Punjab (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reporting To: Director

Future Growth Path: Business Development & Operations Manager → Senior Manager → General Manager – Business Operations → Head of Business / Director – Operations.

About BYKOLOGY

BYKOLOGY is one of India's leading manufacturers and exporters of premium motorcycle accessories. We serve customers across India and international markets and are continuously expanding our product range, dealer network and global presence. This role is designed to become the Director's trusted second-in-command.

Role Summary

This is a leadership role rather than a conventional sales or operations position. You will work directly with the Director and oversee business development, customer relationships, operations, exports, finance coordination, GST coordination, marketing coordination, reporting and team development. The long-term objective is to independently manage major business functions and contribute to the company's strategic growth.

Business Development

Identify new business opportunities, build dealer/OEM/distributor relationships, prepare quotations, negotiate commercial proposals, maintain a healthy sales pipeline, expand domestic and international markets, coordinate exhibitions and monitor conversion rates.

Customer Relationship Management

Serve as the primary contact for key customers, resolve escalations, coordinate with internal departments, maintain long-term dealer relationships and ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Operations & Order Management

Oversee the complete order lifecycle from confirmation to delivery, coordinate production, warehouse and dispatch, monitor stock, shipments and returns, liaise with DHL, FedEx, Blue Dart and freight partners, identify bottlenecks and improve operational efficiency.

Finance, Invoicing, GST & Compliance

Monitor daily sales and purchase invoices, verify invoice accuracy, ensure GST-compliant invoicing, coordinate monthly GST data and filings with the Accounts team and Chartered Accountant, review GST reports, reconcile sales and purchase records, monitor credit/debit notes, track outstanding invoices, coordinate billing corrections and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Export & International Business

Coordinate export documentation, monitor international shipments, assist with customs documentation, support international dealer development and resolve export logistics issues.

Director's Office

Assist with business planning, KPI tracking, reporting, meeting preparation, vendor coordination, customer escalations, process improvements and execution of strategic initiatives.

Team Development & Leadership

Participate in hiring, interview candidates, identify manpower requirements, onboard and train employees, develop SOPs, mentor team members, monitor performance, establish KPIs, recommend training initiatives and help build scalable teams and future leaders.

Marketing Coordination

Coordinate marketing campaigns, product launches, dealer promotions, exhibitions and agency deliverables.

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare weekly and monthly management reports, analyse sales and dealer performance, monitor operational KPIs and recommend improvements based on data.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred but not mandatory), 3–5 years of experience in business development, operations, CRM, exports or manufacturing, proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace and ERP/CRM systems. Knowledge of GST, exports and logistics is advantageous.

Success in First 90 Days

Learn products and workflows, independently manage customer communication, support dealer development, coordinate domestic and international operations, oversee invoicing/GST coordination and recommend practical process improvements.
