Social Media Strategist

Location: NIBM, Pune
Work Mode: Work From Office
Industry: Digital Marketing / Hospitality
Experience: 2–4 years preferred

About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Strategist to join our growing digital marketing agency in NIBM, Pune. The role is ideal for someone who understands social media beyond just posting content — someone who can think strategically, come up with creative ideas, coordinate with multiple teams and clients, and drive the end-to-end execution of social media campaigns.

A majority of our clients are from the hospitality industry, so an understanding of restaurants, hotels, cafés, nightlife, food & beverage, travel, and lifestyle brands will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement social media strategies for multiple client accounts.
Understand client objectives, brand positioning, target audiences, and business goals.
Coordinate regularly with clients to understand requirements, gather feedback, take approvals, and present ideas and strategies.
Work closely with content, design, video, photography, performance marketing, and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
Develop creative content ideas, social media concepts, campaigns, and monthly content plans.
Create and manage social media content calendars aligned with brand objectives and key dates.
Write or oversee captions, content briefs, reels concepts, stories, posts, and other social media formats.
Give creative direction and clear briefs to designers, videographers, photographers, and content creators.
Coordinate and execute photoshoots, video shoots, reels, campaigns, influencer collaborations, and other content requirements when required.
Ensure content is delivered, reviewed, approved, scheduled, and published on time.
Stay updated with social media trends, formats, platform updates, viral content, and relevant trends, particularly across Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for brands to stand out.
Track social media performance and derive actionable insights to improve content and strategy.
Participate in client presentations and strategy discussions.
Manage multiple accounts and deadlines while maintaining quality and consistency.
Take ownership of the complete ideation-to-execution process for assigned brands.

What We’re Looking For

2–4 years of experience in social media management, strategy, or digital marketing.
Strong understanding of Instagram and other major social media platforms.
Excellent creative thinking and ideation skills.
Ability to convert business objectives into practical social media strategies.
Strong communication and client management skills.
Good understanding of content creation, branding, storytelling, and social media trends.
Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams and manage timelines.
Strong attention to detail and ownership of work.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience working with hospitality, F&B, hotels, restaurants, cafés, lifestyle, or luxury brands will be an advantage.
Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting is preferred.
