JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Business Manager
Company: Bharath Diesel Care Private Limited (BDCPL)
Location: Trichy, Tamil Nadu
Department: Sales, Service and Branch Operations
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer / Head Office

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Bharath Diesel Care Private Limited is an authorised dealer of Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, providing sales, service, spare parts, maintenance contracts and allied power solutions across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Business Manager will be responsible for the overall growth, profitability and smooth operation of the Trichy branch. The role includes managing sales, service, spare parts, collections, customer relationships and the branch team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Develop new customers and retain existing customers.
Increase sales of spare parts, services, AMC contracts and allied products.
Ensure timely completion of service and breakdown jobs.
Monitor stock availability and reduce dead stock.
Follow up and collect outstanding customer payments.
Manage and guide the sales, service and stores teams.
Conduct regular customer visits and identify new business opportunities.
Handle customer complaints and ensure satisfactory closure.
Monitor branch expenses, profitability and overall performance.
Submit regular business reports to Head Office.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Achievement of sales and collection targets.
Growth in spare-parts and service revenue.
Addition and renewal of AMC/Bandhan contracts.
New customer acquisition and customer retention.
Reduction in outstanding receivables.
Timely closure of service complaints.
Reduction of slow-moving and dead stock.
Improvement in branch profitability.
Customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Team performance and productivity.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
MBA in Marketing or Operations will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in diesel engines, DG sets, industrial equipment, automotive or after-sales service.
Previous experience in branch management, dealership operations or territory management is preferred.
Good understanding of sales, service, spare parts, inventory and payment collections.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and customer-handling skills.
Ability to manage targets, branch profitability and multiple teams.
Working knowledge of MS Office, CRM and ERP software.
Good communication skills in Tamil and English.
Willingness to travel within Trichy and the assigned territory.
Valid driving licence and own vehicle are preferred.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for a proactive, target-oriented and responsible professional who can independently manage the Trichy branch, develop new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and lead the team towards profitable growth.
