Job description:
Role Overview
Building a next-generation construction simulation platform combining real-world project workflows with interactive 3D visualization. Seeking a 3D Web Developer (Three.js) to create high-performance, scalable browser-based construction scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

Build and optimize interactive 3D environments using Three.js.
Render construction stages (foundation → structure → finishing) in real-time.
Implement object interactions (select, drag, place, sequence activities).
Work with 3D assets (GLTF/FBX/BIM conversions) optimized for web.
Develop camera controls, lighting, animations, and scene management.
Integrate frontend with backend simulation logic (activity sequencing, dependencies, timelines).
Handle performance optimization (FPS stability, memory, LOD, batching).
Collaborate with product + backend teams to map real-world construction workflows into visual simulation.

Required Skills
Core

Strong Three.js experience.
Solid JavaScript fundamentals (ES6+).
WebGL concepts (rendering pipeline, shaders basics).
3D models handling (GLTF, FBX, OBJ).
Scene graph, transformations, raycasting, animations.

Frontend

React experience (preferably React Three Fiber).
State management (Redux/Zustand).
UI integration with 3D canvas.

Performance

Instancing, LOD (Level of Detail), lazy loading assets, texture compression.

Good to Have (High Value)

Simulation systems or games experience.
Construction/BIM workflows familiarity.
Blender (asset tweaks), Autodesk Revit/IFC formats.
Physics engines (Cannon.js/Ammo.js).
Timeline-based simulation systems.

What You’ll Build

Step-by-step construction simulation engine.
Visual validation: activity sequencing, dependency errors (slab before foundation).
Interactive learning/game environment for students/professionals.
Scalable architecture for multiple project types.
