In This Role, You Will::
Cvent / ON24 is looking for a responsible, technical, forward-thinking individual to fill our Senior Linux Systems & Automation Engineer position in India. This role will work with multiple departments to successfully build, deploy, migrate, maintain and operate our production streaming systems through automation in both on-prem and cloud environments. This position will require working during some of the US business hours and collaborating with the US and UK teams. This engineer will be responsible for automation to streamline our production operations, processes and builds. The position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, able to adapt under different conditions, can multitask and possesses solid technical & communication skills. This position will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of Cvent / ON24 streaming operations and an ongoing impact on growth & success.

Responsible for the systems lifecycle from scoping, development, operating and maintaining production systems that run on Linux operating systems.

Orchestrate playbooks and workflows using Ansible and AWX.
-
Support workloads in GCP, AWS, and/or Azure and contribute to cloud migration.

Prioritize, multitask, and work on simultaneous projects within the department.
-
Provide escalation support and troubleshooting for our production deployments and determine root cause and corrective actions.

On-call/off hours work will occasionally be required.

Help assure 24/7/365 systems availability for our SaaS platform.
Here's What You Need::
- BS degree or equivalent with 5-7 years of previous System Engineering or similar in a production environment is required.

Strong Linux systems administration experience is required. (Redhat, CentOS and Rocky)

Supporting and Migrating workloads in GCP, AWS, and/or Azure is required.

Expert working knowledge of Ansible and AWX is a must.

Experience with automation with Jenkins and GIT is preferred.
-
Experience with Bash, Python, Shell, PowerCLI, and PowerShell scripting is required.

Systems Lifecyle management and operations (Foreman) is preferred.

AI tooling — AI-assisted observability, scripting, and automation platforms is a plus

Understanding of standard networking protocols and components a required.

Experience with Pexip Infinity, Vonage Video / Tokbox, Adobe Media Server, Wowza Streaming Engine and FreeSWITCH is preferred.

Knowledge of streaming technologies and protocols like RTMP, HLS and WebRTC is preferred.

Knowledge of testing methodologies, performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques is required.

Experience with GPU technologies like CUDA is a plus.

Experience with Checkmk, Nagios and APM/observability solutions is a plus (preferably Datadog).

Kubernetes and containerization is a plus.

Experience with CI/CD methodologies is a plus.
