Your Role: Associate Manager, G2N Operations
Step into a pivotal role where your precision and financial acumen ensure the integrity of Elanco’s financial commitments. As a Payment Analyst in Finance Operations, you will be the heartbeat of our payment execution process, ensuring our largest and most strategic customers receive accurate and timely payments. You will transform financial claim data into seamless operations, serving as a dependable anchor for the Finance team. This role is an ideal launchpad for a data-centric professional with an accounting background who is looking to master complex financial systems like SAP, work with cross-functional experts (e.g. Treasury, Sales/Marketing, Operations) and grow into a future leader within Elanco’s global finance organization.
Your Responsibilities:
Execute and Oversee Critical Check Runs: You will own the end-to-end payment execution process, ensuring that high-priority check runs are completed with 100% accuracy and within strict deadlines to maintain Elanco’s reputation with key partners. Working collaboratively with a small team in the Finance Operations team.
Ensure Payment Integrity & Accuracy: Act as the final line of defense for financial accuracy. You will reconcile payment data, validate banking details, and ensure that every transaction reflects our contractual obligations to our largest customers.
Innovate and Optimize Payment Workflows: Continuously look for ways to enhance our SAP Finance processes. You will identify bottlenecks in the payment lifecycle and lead initiatives to automate manual steps, increasing the scalability and efficiency of the Finance Operations team.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Treasury, Sales/Marketing, and IT to ensure financial systems support business objectives. You will provide clear reporting on project progress and disbursement metrics to Finance leadership.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance, operations, accounts payable, or analytical role where high-volume data accuracy was a primary requirement.
Core Skills: You are exceptionally detail-oriented and dependable. You possess strong analytical skills, a "get it right the first time" mentality, and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data reconciliation.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Accounting Expertise: A solid foundational understanding of accounting principles (GL, debits/credits) that allows you to understand the "why" behind the numbers.
SAP Finance Power User: Hands-on experience navigating SAP Finance modules, specifically regarding payment runs and vendor master data.
Forward-Thinking Technologist: A keen interest in leveraging AI, program management tools, or data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) to modernize traditional finance tasks.
Proactive Communicator: The ability to provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders and escalate potential payment risks early to ensure seamless business continuity.
Collaborative Leader: You’re eager to take on more responsibility, lead projects, and enjoy mentoring and teaching your peers to elevate the entire team.
