TGC Animation and Multimedia is a leading training institute offering courses in Graphic Design, Web Development, Animation, VFX, Video Editing, UI UX Design, Digital Marketing, Data Science, Photography, and other creative and IT programs. We are looking for a responsible and technically sound Desktop Support Engineer to manage day-to-day IT support across our Delhi centers.
Job Summary
We are hiring a Desktop Support Engineer who can handle daily technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, internet, networking, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, and software installation. The candidate should be comfortable working on both Windows PCs and Apple Mac systems and should be able to troubleshoot common hardware, software, and network issues independently.
This role is suitable for someone who is practical, quick in problem-solving, disciplined, and comfortable supporting trainers, students, counselors, and admin staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesktop and Laptop Support
- Provide day-to-day support for desktop computers, laptops, and workstations.
- Troubleshoot Windows PC and Mac system issues.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and required software.
- Handle system formatting, backup, driver installation, and basic data recovery.
- Resolve issues related to slow systems, login problems, software errors, and peripheral devices.
- Maintain computer labs and ensure all systems are working before classes.
Networking, LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi
- Manage basic LAN, WAN, router, switch, and Wi-Fi related issues.
- Troubleshoot internet connectivity problems.
- Configure and maintain network printers, shared folders, and local network access.
- Coordinate with internet service providers when required.
- Check network cables, ports, patch panels, routers, switches, and access points.
- Maintain stable internet and Wi-Fi access for classrooms, labs, and office areas.
CCTV and Access Control
- Monitor and maintain CCTV camera systems.
- Troubleshoot camera, DVR, NVR, and recording issues.
- Check backup recordings and camera visibility.
- Support biometric attendance machines and access control systems.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs, replacement, or new installation when needed.
Software Installation and Troubleshooting
- Install and activate commonly used software for design, video editing, web development, and office work.
- Support installation of Adobe software, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, MS Office, browsers, antivirus, and other tools as per requirement.
- Troubleshoot software crashes, license issues, plugin issues, and update-related errors.
- Maintain software inventory and installation records.
- Ensure systems are ready as per trainer and course requirements.
Hardware and Peripheral Support
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, projectors, pen tablets, speakers, webcams, microphones, and other devices.
- Handle RAM, SSD, HDD, keyboard, mouse, monitor, cable, and adapter related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repair and replacement.
- Maintain proper records of IT assets and accessories.
General IT and Admin Support
- Support classroom setup before sessions, workshops, seminars, and events.
- Assist with projector, screen sharing, audio, internet, and presentation setup.
- Help staff with email, cloud storage, Google Drive, Zoom, Google Meet, and basic IT tools.
- Maintain IT stock such as cables, connectors, mouse, keyboard, adapters, CCTV accessories, and networking items.
- Visit both Delhi centers as per requirement.
- Keep systems secure with antivirus, updates, passwords, and basic IT hygiene.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Windows desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
- Basic to working knowledge of Apple Mac systems.
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and internet troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of CCTV, DVR, NVR, IP cameras, and access control systems.
- Ability to install and troubleshoot common software.
- Knowledge of printers, scanners, projectors, and other office devices.
- Ability to handle urgent IT issues calmly.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Should be punctual, responsible, and service-oriented.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an institute, college, training center, design studio, office, or IT support environment.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, video editing tools, and design software installation.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace, MS Office, Zoom, Google Meet, and basic cloud tools.
- Ability to maintain IT asset records.
Qualification
- Diploma, ITI, Hardware and Networking Course, BCA, B.Sc IT, or any relevant technical qualification.
- Candidates with strong practical experience may also apply.
Experience
- 1 to 4 years of experience in desktop support, hardware networking, IT support, or similar role.
Salary
Salary will be based on experience, technical knowledge, and interview performance.
