The Opportunity:
- Experience Level: 5+ years of relevant experience in Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments
- Manage and maintain Active Directory Domain Controllers with strong understanding of Forest, Domains, and Trust relationships
- Perform Domain Controller promotion, demotion, and migration activities
- Troubleshoot Active Directory authentication issues (Kerberos / NTLM)
- Manage and troubleshoot Group Policy (creation, configuration, and application issues)
- Handle AD replication, Sites, and Site Links configuration and troubleshooting
- Manage and maintain FSMO roles
- Perform DNS management, including records, zones, and troubleshooting
- Support LAPS password retrieval and troubleshooting
- Handle LDAP / LDAPS connectivity issues with applications
- Design and manage OU structure and delegation models
- Optimize Group Policy architecture and SYSVOL management
- Perform SPN creation and delegation configurations
- Review, approve, and troubleshoot Microsoft security patching via WSUS
- Manage AD replication topology, performance, and domain controller health
- Perform incident handling, service requests, and escalations within SLA
- Lead incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Conduct routine AD health checks and reporting
- Analyze authentication logs using SIEM tools (e.g., Chronicle)
- Support security audits and compliance requirements
- Manage Active Directory Disaster Recovery (DR) setup and annual recovery testing
- Perform AD backup and restore activities
- Troubleshoot account lockout issues
- Perform Active Directory schema extension and upgrades
What are we Looking for:
Maintain and upgrade PKI infrastructure components to ensure high availability and business continuity
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise PKI solutions and cryptographic services
- Ensure PKI systems comply with internal security standards and industry best practices
- Configure PKI systems, develop test plans, and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, and leadership on security initiatives
- Develop and improve PKI standards, processes, and best practices
- Stay updated with PKI technologies, security trends, and emerging threats
- Represent PKI engineering in cross-functional projects and enforce security compliance
- Manage CRL and OCSP (certificate revocation mechanisms)
- Ensure high availability and performance of CRL distribution points and OCSP responders
Active Directory Expertise
Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
Forest, Domains, Trusts, and FSMO roles
- DNS architecture (zones, records, troubleshooting)
- Group Policy (GPO) management and troubleshooting
- AD replication, Sites and Services
- Strong hands-on experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Experience with ADCS, Sectigo, and KeyFactor
- Code signing and cryptographic services
- HSM technologies (SafeNet, nCipher)
- PowerShell scripting and REST APIs
CRL and OCSP architecture and troubleshooting
