Remote Content Writer — Full time — Flexible working hours

About the opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled, professional, and detail-oriented content writer who knows WordPress inside out and can convert technical concepts into easy-to-understand language. We need someone who has a knack for making complex concepts simple and can write clear, concise, and SEO-friendly content.

As a WordPress content writer, it is required that you have used WordPress extensively in the past and that you have written and published blogs, and tutorials using WordPress. You must have a thorough understanding of popular WordPress themes, plugins, Gutenberg, WooCommerce, and Page Builders. It is equally important that you have a solid grasp of SEO, digital marketing, and eCommerce.

You will be responsible for

Common roles cum responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Responsible for creating comprehensive, informative, and actionable content for a variety of WordPress-related projects.
Create educational, often technical, research-backed copy that helps readers understand complex information in an informative, clear, and accessible manner.
Research topics, create how-to guides, create use case scenarios, list out features, and write tutorials.
Collaborate with the content team on numerous accounts, finalize the strategy, seek feedback, and share new ideas.
Develop content briefs, finalize plans, and bring clients’ digital marketing strategies to life through writing.
Create your own content calendar and adhere to the timelines.
Perform extensive research, examine the competition, and use SEO best practices to produce error-free content.
Review, edit, and proofread content for spelling errors, grammar, tone, and style preferences.
Providing guidance for the website editor to publish your content, reviewing the final content, and providing feedback.

You will be a great fit if

We are looking for the following abilities, skillsets, and experience:

2+ years of writing/editing experience, with an established portfolio.
You are an enthusiastic writer who loves to write every day and does it for fun; it’s not a chore for you.
Self-starter who is capable of self-editing, self-revising, and self-proofreading all written content.
Experience in keyword research and ability to research topics and new ideas for your project.
Ability to write blog posts, articles, tutorials, how-to guides, and FAQs that explain technical concepts in an accessible way.
Understanding of on-page and off-page search engine optimization, as well as the ability to follow SEO best practices.
Profound understanding of WordPress, Digital Marketing, and eCommerce.
Able to take feedback from multiple internal teams and clients.
A proficient user of Microsoft Word, including the ability to track changes.
Capable of managing multiple priorities, paying attention to details, and completing assignments within deadlines.
