The Global Reporting & Performance Measurement department, part of the COO function, provides customer-specific and regulatory reports for the entire DWS business field.
You will be responsible for the analysis, development, and production of complex customer reports, customer inquiries, and related activities. They play a crucial role in enabling communication between function teams, sharing knowledge and business practices, and developing process and performance efficiency. Also builds and maintains relationships with the front office and other internal and external parties, especially for time-sensitive, complex, or regulatory tasks. They establish a trusting relationship with customers, adhere to standards, and are available for customers, especially in critical times.

Tasks:
Recording, feasibility check, analysis, and implementation of new reporting requirements
Support and representation of the Client Reporting department in projects
Collaboration with front office areas in the further development of existing and new reports
Handling inquiries and complaints from clients and internal departments
Data analysis for the purpose of feasibility studies and functional specification of new reports
Building and maintaining relationships with internal clients (e.g. front office) to serve as a point of contact within the operations function team, especially for time-sensitive or complex tasks
Maintain and enhance existing VBA solutions while progressively migrating eligible functionality to Python.
Own the development of Python automation solutions to transform client reporting processes, driving greater efficiency and data accuracy.
Design and implement Python-based automation for the generation of monthly and quarterly Powerpoint presentations including investment strategy updates, market information, economic outlooks, operational matters, and investment portfolio updates.
Your skills and experience:
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel VBA and Access, as well as Python and SQL required, PowerPoint is also desirable. Comfortable working across VBA and Python for Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint reporting automation.
Exposure to investment reporting/accounting/finance (particularly fixed income) background is desired, solid knowledge of risk and performance metrics is preferred.
High level of initiative, independent and structured working style, ability to work under tight deadlines.
Understanding of Asset Management Operations preferred, but not mandatory.
Good understanding of process SLA’s/KPI’s and experience in stakeholder handling.
Attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, responsiveness to clients, deadline-focused, ability to manage the efficient and effective use of internal resources.
Knowledge & usage of applications like Aladdin and Bloomberg would be an added advantage.
Ability to analyze data to determine root cause of problems.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to take ownership, priorities work and manage time effectively.
