Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

Administer configure and maintain Linux servers with strong focus on Red Hat across development test and production environments
Ensure high availability performance and security of Linux based systems through proactive monitoring patching and capacity planning
Implement and manage user access file systems storage and networking configurations in line with organizational standards
Troubleshoot complex OS level performance and infrastructure issues driving root cause analysis and permanent fixes
Plan and execute OS upgrades kernel updates and security hardening activities with minimal downtime
Create and maintain detailed system documentation runbooks and standard operating procedures
Collaborate with application database and network teams to support deployments and environment changes
Apply ITIL aligned practices for incident problem and change management ensuring compliance with governance processes
Participate in on call rotations and provide escalation support for critical production incidents
Mentor junior administrators sharing best practices in Linux administration and operational excellence
Minimum Qualifications
B
TECH degree in Computer Science Information Technology Electronics or a related engineering discipline
8 15 years of hands on experience as a Linux administrator managing medium to large scale environments
Strong expertise in Linux administration with at least 8 years working on enterprise grade distributions specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Proven experience in system installation configuration patching and performance tuning for Linux servers
Solid understanding of system security access control and OS level hardening in Linux environments
Practical experience working within ITIL based processes for incident problem and change management
