Position Summary
The Delivery Manager at LotusFlare is a hybrid, high-impact role positioning elite professionals directly at the intersection of external clients and internal platform engineering teams. This is a technical role designed specifically for dynamic execution leaders who reject the traditional "meeting scheduler" interpretation of project management.
As a Forward Deployed Delivery Manager, you operate as a technical analyst, client relationship partner, and agile architect of the delivery lifecycle. You are completely accountable for scoping functional and technical requirements, managing strict project boundaries, protecting delivery margins (P&L), and leveraging a forward-looking toolkit embedded with Generative AI capabilities. Your mission is to accelerate execution velocity across our software factory model, transforming client requirements into live, highly polished production platforms with unparalleled speed and software rigor.
Forward Deployed Delivery Managers execute across three core pillars, ranked in strict order of operational importance:
1. Requirements & Scoping Acts as an expert Technical Business Analyst. Collaborates directly with client business and product owners to untangle, define, and consolidate functional specifications. Owns the creation and review of thorough Technical Requirements Documents (TRD) and Product Requirements Documents (PRD).
2. Technical Analysis Operates as a "Solution Architect Light." Commands technical design workshops with client architectures and internal developer crews. Drives technical alignments around API contracts, service schemas, system boundaries, and low-level data flows without needing to write production code blocks.
3. Project Management Acts as the focal point for absolute scope delivery. Orchestrates cross-functional tracks (Engineering, UX/UI, QA, and CareOps), plans precise milestones, identifies hidden risks, and tracks team capacity/velocity metrics to insulate project profitability. Creates the necessary project structure to anchor the team, establish clear working guidelines, and ensure the team can deliver the scope successfully.
Core Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Scoping
Embed proactively with client software, infrastructure, and product teams to translate complex business needs and integration realities into structured platform solutions. Provide strategic technology consulting, ensuring that architectural choices align perfectly with LotusFlare’s DNO Cloud product catalog, charging models, and orchestration patterns. Enforce a strict "Requirements Locked" gating process and execute clear scope-change reset rules to maintain tight scope alignment and protect project P&L.
2. AI-Native Requirements Generation
Lead the transition to an AI-native operational model by leveraging state-of-the-art LLMs and engineering enablement workflows to generate robust, granular user stories, technical definitions, and context blocks. Utilize advanced prompting, prompt engineering, and scripting assistants to accelerate the creation and auditing of thorough TRDs, PRDs, and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents. Establish modern documentation paradigms across the global delivery function, closing structural documentation gaps by synthesizing complex data flows into repeatable templates.
3. Agile SDLC Project Orchestration
Drive tactical sprint execution, backlog refinement, and core agile planning ceremonies to keep the engineering conveyor belt moving seamlessly from ideation to production. Optimize tracking infrastructure inside enterprise project management environments (Jira/Asana), utilizing AI agents to minimize administrative overhead by automating sprint metric collections, story point mappings, and chore creations. Deconstruct high-level project milestones into detailed, groomed Jira tasks with rigorous descriptions, precise effort estimates, clear due dates, and explicit acceptance criteria. Proactively surface cross-team dependencies, proxy blocks, environment issues, and integration risks, driving collaborative resolution across internal and external engineering dependencies.
4. Quality Assurance & Production Handover
Collaborate tightly with internal QA and client testing primes to drive end-to-end testing strategies, ensuring code deliverables meet absolute Definition of Done (DoD) benchmarks with zero high-severity defects. Engage customer support and operations teams (CareOps) early in the delivery lifecycle (SIT/UAT phases), co-authoring production runbooks, monitoring alerts, and knowledge base frameworks to facilitate seamless transition to support. Provide expert operational triage and root-cause analysis (RCA) tracking for high-priority production incidents, translating runtime performance metrics into actionable long-term stabilization paths.
Experience: 5+ years of software implementation experience as a Technical Product Manager, Solution Architect, Software Developer, or Senior Technical Project Manager handling large-scale, complex enterprise system integration projects.
Technical Acumen: Strong foundational fluency in how REST APIs, cloud-native microservices architectures, containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), JSON schemas, and database technologies interact. Must possess the technical competence to lead architectural discussions confidently without needing to write production code.
Industry Expertise: Strong telecom domain expertise with hands-on experience across BSS and/or OSS supporting large-scale digital transformation programs. Understanding of end-to-end telecom processes, including customer management, order orchestration, service provisioning, billing, activation, assurance, inventory, and network operations
AI Tool Integration: Demonstrated expertise or distinct forward-thinking competency in utilizing cutting-edge generative AI development environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot, Gemini) for automated documentation, problem-solving, analysis, or basic scripting routines.
Consultative Skills: Elite verbal and written communication. Proactive and decisive personality capable of functioning as a strategic technology consultant, asking deep analytical questions (in the style of top consulting firms), challenging client constraints gracefully, and structuring unorganized problems under pressure.
Project Rigor: Complete mastery of Agile lifecycles, sprint velocity management, advanced Jira configurations (Jira Plans, Epics mapping, Initiatives tracking), capacity forecasting, and rigorous cost/effort estimation practices.
Global Flexibility: Exceptional ownership mindset with the flexibility to collaborate effectively across distributed cross-functional international teams (North America, Europe, and Asia hubs), adapting seamlessly to shifting milestone realities.
